For those of you that are play S&S builds: How do you deal with bosses that don't spawn adds and you've run out of spiders? I just watched a video on killing Sirus and noticed that the fight is in 4 phases and I don't really see any adds which would allow you to spawn more spiders. I've experienced this a few times already and it usually came down to my spectres and zombies killing the boss. I doubt that is a good strat for Sirus.

^ this video shows everything you need to see, High dmg potential. But, crappy map clear or screen shot potential. You noticed how the spectre needs to be close to actually hit anything even with a free +1 chain, it won't help you survived in an open clear map in dellirium.

I'm still standing on redemption Sentry once again on being best spectre. I'm not even gonna list their pros for the 3rd time

iAcclaim also records on standard with really good gear. War Maidens are actually really weak in normal gear.

If you want to see what they are like with normal gear, I can record demos with the example gear from the EB & MoM guide. I have most of the new spectres banked in standard (14 spectres in 2 banks), but I need maps. If anyone wants to donate maps to me in standard it would be very helpful!

Quick question, is the helmet enhancement "spectres have 40% increased damage" the same as more dmg due to increasing their base dmg or just any 40% increased minion dmg, but for only spectres?

On a site note, if it's just the former, which helmet enhancement would be the best? hatred have reduced mana reservation?

If you use the original S&S build with spiders and EVF. The EVF can kill bosses quickly on their own, but they move slowly so the spiders are the map clearers. I actually despawn the spiders on purpose.

The S&S with Redemption Sentries is more focus on mapping, but you can still kill bosses without the spiders. It's slower because their damage is not as high as EVF.

I tried running pure spiders in 3.9. Even with 2 writhing jars, sometimes thhe support spectres (apes) killed the worms before me and I had to log out to refresh my flasks.

Get it as 1st thing it's rly cheap and boots your minions well.I believe it's better to go for +1 spectr chest , u can also go with explosion mod in it for better map clearing .
In your tree u shoul've taken Aligned spirits instead of +% life passive

Thanks! I actually have the shield shield, but at one point I was getting 1 shot a lot so I got more life. At what point should I be dropping Stone Golem for AG?

Keep the AG. Buy more regrets.

EB & MoM is the easiest option for low budget.

You need to buy/craft:

Raise Spectre level 21
+1 intelligence amulet
+1 spectre level boots
Devouring Diadem
Temple wand (double damage chance)

Cheapest body armour for RS is Lioneye's Vision. 6L is about 1ex. You will have to buy chromes to get right colours though. You will also need 160 dex!

Cheapest 6L +1 delve is 4ex with bad stats.

It's about the same.
More projectiles with +1 vs hitting harder with Lioneye (Pierce 15). It's really just about cost. 1-3ex for 6L Lioneye vs 10-20x for 6L delve with good stats.

This is how I did my gear progress:

0. (League start) 5L + Essence of Greed (1-5c)
1. 6L rare + Essence of Greed (20-25c)
2. Upgrade wand (5-10c)
3. Level 25 Raise Spectre gem (1-3ex)
4. 6L Lioneye + chromes to colour (1-3ex)
5. Fix everything else (gloves, wand, shield, etc, jewels)
6. 6L delve (10-20ex buy or craft)

Look at my build for S&S in the profile.

With this build i'm melting the conquerors in 3-4 seconds. Have 7k Life, and 75% block/54% spell block, huge amount of armour & constantly 3 endurance charges. Right now i'm only experiementing with the body armour.

The only thing i don't understand still - why SDs became a no-go option?
What's been changed since Blight\Metamorph?
We can still achieve Raise Spectre lvl25 gem and get 4 spectres lvl83.
There was a 3.10 "changelog" to spectres overall on first page, can't find it anymore.

Spectres ~11% loss in DPS and ~14% loss in life. But with new build and cluster jewels we can raise their DPS and Life even higher than before!
So with "endgame" gear SDs will pulvirize anything even better than in 3.9.

I see only one advancement in RSs over SDs now - long range attacks, AOEs and high life\ES pool.
I've rolled 3B-2G-1R on my int armor yesterday and bought 21\20 LMP and 21\0 Pierce and tried RSs.
I run lvl25 spectre gem with 4 spectres and no spiders now.
Mapping speed is ok and i know that i need to change pierce to Vicious Proj for bossing.
With SDs i just jumped into mob pack, used Convocation and SDs melts everything around me. RS stays and shoots behind me when i'm running near mobs, thou AG with "Blind" armor helps.

I'm still on yellow maps without any upgraded "Citadels" trying to figure out how to progress(Blight was my last league), so i may not uderstand all the new "ripping" content that kills SDs in seconds.
