I use this kind of eq, im wand + shield from game start and its pretty comfortable for me, cuse many of skills trigger automatic (wand). I dont have any problem with map clear, killing anything instantly. But i collecting currency and wanna slowly upgrade to make it even better, do you think should i start with boots, or helmet? or smh else?
I was browsing through trade site and was looking for body armor with open prefix, i saw some armor with 4 prefixes. So i am wondering does +1 maximum spectre take up the prefix space?

Hi, have a question about the Risen Vaal Advocate spectres, how can I differentiate the damage type of these Risen Vaal Advocate? I want to summon all 5 lightening one, but always get the fire and chaos one in between. Thank you

Remove spell echo when summoning spectres.

Check the FAQ section of the guide and you might just find your answer, and maybe some more.

I think your helmet has nothing special in it (except implicit). Upgrade that for sure.

It does take a prefix slot. Hover over the affixes on trade site search results, you'll see that some prefixes have the same name. That's because some affixes have two lines of text (like +armor AND +life).

It goes another way too. Sometimes one line has two affixes on it (like P1+P3). If you have aforementioned "+armor and +life" and regular "+life", those life affixes are combined to one affix line. Hovering over it reveals which affixes are in it.
These boots are decent until I can craft better ones with better movement speed?

.

I got those on my second try ever crafting anything outside of the craft bench. These were my old ones:

Much appreciated bro!! It appears as if shedding the Victario’s Charity has opened up the build considerably and makes it far easier to stack life/resistances.

Question: how important is Chaos resistance in this build at T15/16 maps?? Gear with this tends to be harder/pricier, and do wonder if it’s worth the time and currency to get them.

Very few things do big chaos hits, so you can almost ignore chaos resist.

What the V2 1h+shield build are we still using slave drivers? How come AOE gem instead of feeding frenzy? I thought feeding frenzy really worked with with slave drivers?

I am guessing you're anointing ravenous horde? What about the righteous army circle on the left? I am guessing now there's no commander and with bone+plague you don't need that defensive wheel?

On a side note I just love looking @ this and other people's variation.

Yes, we're still using SDs as the main spectre mostly because they're good for everything and best for bossing. If you are more into mapping, then one of the projectile spectres are better (SG/GFR/RVA/FS).

With regards to Feeding Frenzy in the 6L. I've had people give feedback that it doesn't seem to change their behaviour that much. So, I think inc aoe is better for mapping because it means their spell will cover a large area and kill more things.

Ravenous Horde = more dps vs Righteous Army = more survivability. I think with version 2, spectre survivability is much higher, so it should be perfectly fine to go with Ravenous Horde.

Another option, that I would personally use, is Golem's Blood. This will give your necro 10% increased life and 1.6% regen.

3. I'm using 4x Slave Drivers in my 6L and 1x Carnage Chieftain in my +3 helmet. The chieftain has semi-reliable frenzy charge generation. With frenzy charges unticked, DPS is around 900k. With frenzy charges ticked, DPS is 1.4mil. So you're looking at 900k x5 vs 1.4 x4. The build will still work perfectly fine with 4x SDs (ie. no +1 delve chest).

The skill tree is 3-4 points away from another curse, this would allow you to run a poachers mark ring and get rid of the chieftain for the 5th SD.

Most of the new found thougness from this version comes from the shield and the pretty gg standard gear alone, the tree seems to be roughly the same as the old life version without 2 kinda out of the way jewel slots and dps nodes instead.

Yes, you're right this is actually using the tree from the PoH Life/VMS build that appeared (and disappeared!) earlier.

I realised that the spectre's base damage is already perfectly fine (around 1mil) and that with a 5th spectre, you could go with Slave Driver #5 or a Carnage Chieftain for frenzy charges (just like melee minion builds do). This gives the players the choice of easy DPS (SD #5) or semi-reliable big DPS (Chieftain). From this, I thought that we could completely drop Victario's and Necro Aegis. This frees up a lot of passives, which allows for heavy investment in the left side of the tree.

Another benefit is that it frees the build from a mandatory unique (Victario's). Actually any high life shield will work fine now, and the upgrade path would be some gg crafted shield (or lucky ID) with life gain on block or cwdt 5, etc.

With regards to Poacher's Mark, I specifically avoided it because it only gave benefit during mapping because it gives charges on kill. It's also completely overkill in mapping. For most bossing encounters, either the boss melts or there aren't enough adds to give meaningful charges.

You could even unspec the gravepact wheel and use those points to get your curse, this would result in 1.117 mill dps, kind of a middle ground.

Also Kay, instead of taking those last few life nodes towards Marader would the spell block from mystic bulwark have more benefit?

Hm. 8% extra spell block vs 9% increased life. I think you have a good idea there. I'll change it.

Thanks!

What is the main source of our damage in this build? (wand shield variant) I feel like my damage is too low and I cannot find out why. Does wand modifiers like spell damage increased etc do any difference for spectre damage? (slave driver spectre)

In general, Spectre summoner gain most of their damage from the 6L. So the most important thing is to have level 20/20 gems. Next is arguably, Elemental Equilibrium! This reduces enemy resists by 50%. After that, we look at auras (such as Wrath). Lastly, items, such as the wand can give some nice boosts as well.

*Of course the tree is a major source, but everyone is already using that.

One last thing to mention is that you should be considering how your necro plays in-game, rather than worrying about PoB numbers. There are various options that are disabled by default.
