It's pure luck. 100+ is actually two mods. You can get a ~80% primary mod and a ~20% hybrid mana/dmg mod. Bound fossils just increase the roll chance, but it's still rng. I don't particularly like the alt method because it increases the chance for rubbish caster mods.

Also, use a low level wand. I've had better luck with mid 70s wands and I've spoken to other summoners, who had the same luck. i80+ seems like a noob trap.

Yeah, the trick is to go as low as possible (considering what mods you are trying to get) so you remove a big chunk of unwanted mods you would otherwise get with a higher ilevel wand. Just make sure to have a look at poedb so you can be sure your wand is high enough level so you can actually get what you are looking for. May the rng gods be with you!

I feel a bit stupid asking, but I seem to get one shot all the time in T15+. Now, my rings and belt aren't great, but not the worst and I'm only able to hit 5k life (V1). If I fully onvert to V2, on current gear I'll hit about 6.6k, but without acro and such I feel I'll likely get one shot even more. Any ideas?

EDIT: also gems aren't great, but i figured I'd ask in anyway, in case i missed something

Edit2: I was very low on Str up until recently, so I will be leveling my Steelskin more, but I don't think that's the only thing should be banking on, of course.

Hi, i newbie and 1st play necro, this build so amazing, i really really like this build.
I early play build wand/shield and after complete act 10, i buy POH for build HP/ES/Mana for subtain. But i realize many people build wand / shield. I want to ask build POH can end all content and how many depth i can go with POH

Hi guys so is the wand and shield v2 an improvment of v1 and should i reroll to the v2 from v1?

Not sure if someone already posted this suggestion for v2, I didn't read the 6 pages between then and now, but you could link Blood Magic into the other Spectre cluster that you summon the frenzy gorilla from -- it will allow him to spam that spell and make the charges reliable.

Losing Elemental Army & Aggressiveness on the Zombie gem isn't really an option though, so I'd probably just move the 2nd Spectre gem out of that cluster and put it somewhere else whilst dropping utility like Phase Run and the Blind gem in the Brand cluster (tbh I'm not really keen on investing into Blind past 1-2 blind on hit for minions abyss jewels in general, as well as I'm not sold on the curse either - everything dies instantly with or without curses during clear, and against bosses curses are just way too heavily nerfed to be worthwhile), or Skeletons perhaps.

Hi, I really enjoyed your slave driver build.
Now I want to use another spectre. So I chose a frost sentinel.
I have a few questions about this.

1. Are Pledge of Hands good for frost sentinel?

2. Your Pledge of Hands build passive tree is can usable without Pledge of Hands 100% increased maximum Mana?(I want to six spectre using a crafted Warstaff in the end game.)

3. I am using three aura Hatred, Zealotry, Haste. and I want to add one more aura. Aspect of the Spider, Aspect of the Avian, and Summon Skitterbots. Which one your recommend out of these?

I have upgraded to PoH. i saw wand and shield v2 has come out, is there reason to change it back? somehow i see my survivability is maybe worse than with my wand and shield setup.


i have made shaper deathless, havent tried uber elder yet.
