I died twice. Once on the very first volley of shaper balls, which was just stupid, and once trying to pop a vortex during bullet hell. But other than that it was pretty smooth as long as I stayed mobile and alert.

Yeah bullet hell and shaper balls are the things that kill you. :p
If you stay close enough he usually doesn’t throw the balls.
(He does on the uber elder encounter though)

I didn't see this line when I responded earlier. When you are clearing map you are supposed to be using Ancestral Call.
You swap between that one for clearing and Ruthless for bosses.

I got a question about my gear, because I am kind of stuck on how to upgrade it properly. Some recommendations on how to change or upgrade it. Character is public I guess.

Skill-setup is looking good.
You should try to get quality on your skillgems.

I'm assuming you did shaper recently, since you are wearing abyssus and has ruthless in your skill-setup. Otherwise you should consider using starkonja's instead.
You have rather low life.

I would replace the claw for a claw with:
Attacks with this weapon penetrate 14-16% elemental resistances.

I'm a bit unsure where to go with upgrades at the moment. I can just about afford a Pandemonius, but I also have two shaper rings (diamond and topaz) that I could craft the curse on hit on, and a lvl 83 imperial claw to craft for dps.

I don't foresee having the currency to do more than one of these things before the end of the league (buy Pandemonius or craft ONE item), so I'm looking for any input on what to go for for maximum returns.

Or is the next step to just buy a lethal pride?

(To be clear, I would only use one shaper ring, since I have a Mark of the Elder in the other slot, but I'm unsure of how valuable the crit chance on the diamond ring is versus more easily covering resistances with the topaz ring.)

Can I replace Atziri's Promise with Cinderswallow Urn with the Vield Mod "#% Increased Critical Strike Chance during Flask Effect"?
