Yeah, most VD builds that are not using abyssal gear are using a Kaom's.
Kaom's Heart is the option offering the highest amount of life, then comes the Belly and finally the Shroud.
It really depends on your overall setup and what you want to achieve. This build was made with the specific purpose of focusing on those abyssal uniques and jewels and their interactions, integrating also that CoC setup. None of those stuff are mandatory, so if you want more life and don't care about the CoC+Cremation you can go for a Kaom, otherwise a belly is perfectly fine.

Just nobody selling a blue-green-blue one with culling on it right now :)

The order of those gems is not gamechanging, but it does matter, because when you start without corpses on the ground, the first skill is going to fail.
I personally prefer missing a bodyswap than missing a VD cast, but it's not a massive difference or anything super crazy.
If you really want to recolour a corrupted wand I got Vorici 8 to help you out.

what do u think about empower lvl 4 as 3rd gem with volatile dead? wouldnt that make volatile lvl 30 in the pen? or is this superiour to other support gem

edit nvm just saw its to active skill gems

about end game stuff i can guarantee you that it's suberb easy. first time in my life killed all guardians&shaper , red tier elder&guardians. and normal atziri with 2 deads because balls choosed to go mirrored atzubi.

i uppgraded some of my gear if you have some time i would love you to check it.

also because we are in the last 15 days of the league i wanted to spend some currency , instead buying , gone for crafting.



have this now but because it already has 2 suffix just realized its not good enuf LOL.

thinking life , physical dmg leeched as life+mana , and because i don't need resist global crit chance as suffix.

do you suggest anything else to craft on it ?

btw i have 1 more yellow ring only with warlords mark on it for sale :p



upgraded this items as well and some of my jewels but still i have very low jewels around.

fixed my aps on 0.25 aps which was also another increase.

btw i found why body swap doesnot work sometimes.
i'm farming channey and because its narrow corridors , gmp on unearth spreads in cone. and sometimes it doesn't create fully 5 corpses. and my second poet choose to create vd instead of BS even its linked as first.

hey, trying the mf version now kinda. i keep my original gloves and armour, so only bisco, 2x ring and boots (wm with blasphemy in gloves). im only lvl 78 and no quality gems/ lvl 17 and can clear full sextant t14 just fine.

i tried the whole mf setup but didnt work for me yet, so i miss like 30 quantity but its much smoother, thx for this awesome build :) hope it works as well in the next season

I personally do not think it's actually worth multimodding those ring, at least for our build. The problem is that we actually need only WM and life, other potential mods are usually elder-specific affixes, so they cannot get master-crafted. Usually the cheapest option is just mastercraft life and that's it, without any multimod.
Since you already multimodded it, yeah, you can now craft life+mana as prefixes and crit chance as the last suffix. As far as I know you cannot craft that "physical dmg leeched as life", and even if possible, it would have pretty much no urpose on our build.

Your attack speed is actually a bit too high now, you are a bit too close to the 4aps cap. Considering the bug, you should try to achieve about 3.8 aps, while you are at 3.95. this might also be the reason why you fail some bodyswap.
You can lower your attack speed by respeccing that 4% passive near the Shadow starting area and dropping the jewel that has 5% attack speed.
I'm not sure if the problem is due to the "cone" spread of projectiles, but that can be tested "easily". If you drop the PCoC from the Unearth's Pen and instead of GMP you use LMP+Volley, that should generate the usual 5 corpses but in a straight line.

I'm definitely waiting for a Patch Note, if they introduce new cool stuff I'm probably gonna try some of those. Considering they have announced a big Ascendency update, many things are probably going to change.

Thanks for the build! I started buying up Abyss uniques to hoard on standard, and decided to try a Poet's Pen before the league ends. I almost regret not playing it sooner, as it's been some of the most fun I've had in a while. My gear's a bit shit, but stuff is pretty scarce right now so I'll take what I get. :)

Can someone explain the choice of Pious Path over Instruments of Virtue and Augury? Is it entirely for the 6% max mana regen to keep up MoM?

Recently respeced into this build from traditional Koam's Poet VD, and it seems like Instruments and Augury are the superior choices to Pious Path, but maybe I'm just not seeing the value of the mana regen.

There are many factors to consider. Consacrated ground offers both life and mana regen on demand, which are both really good for a MoM build when you conbine them with leech, even more against bosses that have invulnerable phases. Pious Path offers also ailments immunity, which is a nice QoL, allowing you to roll other mods on flasks, without caring about random freeze strongbox or those kind of stuff. It obviously depends on what you are doing with your character, if you are just running shaped maps 24/7 it doesn't really matter in the end, and probably having the more reliable attack speed buff from Instruments and free damage/damage mitigation from Augury of Penitence is better.
If your goal is to do all kind of contents, then I highly prefer Pious Path. The damage from Augury is not needed at all (and if you play at range it's not even always up); when you already 1-shot eveything the only good thing I would invest into is utlity options.
