[3.1] TRICKSTER Scorching Ray + Righteous Fire MoM Boss farmer 1.8mil trash DPS
" Depends is the simple answer. If you want to buy gear early on and spend even more on the build, you could start RF almost immediately around lv32 or so. I just went Scorching Ray until around Lv65 and then added RF when I had enough regen on the tree and could equip Rise of the Phoenix. The last option, which I have done in other builds, is to forego Scorching Ray, and instead start RF immediately, but use it as a Totem. This requires some significant alterations to the build to pick up the 2nd totem ability and other totem passives. You then wait until mid 60's to low 70's and respec the character into the desired RF build and start using a Scorching Ray gem that you keep socketed in your secondary weapons while leveling. This leveling option can be nice, because a 5L gives you essentially all the possible damage available to RF, and instead of worry about it killing you, you just run around resummoning totems all day long.
" Or just get a balefire as soon you can equip it, it is better than a 5l SR until you can get to the mid tier maps and afford any kind of gear that will allow you to run SR + RF without a degen
" Eh? That's a Lv60 piece of equipment. By the time you're lv60 you're almost to the point either way that RF is viable so I don't see how this is leveling advice. His question was one of how to level thru early-mid game.
I get the point of not a begginer build...
but i used your build as a league starter and NOTHING can touch me... everything dies faster than i can shield charge to them XD.
I decided to try SR in an Elder helmet so I could wear a Kaom's Heart:
Advantages: - Kaom's Heart is cheaper than a 6L Belly and you don't have to worry about coloring a 6L Belly - Extra max life (750 for me) - Increased RF damage (from max life, fire damage on Kaom's, increased burning damage on helm) - Movement Speed on boots. Given the new mods in this expansion, rare boots could provide other advantages as well Disadvantages: - No more Unwavering Stance or slow immunity - Loss of a full link for SR The increase in RF damage is noticeable and the movement speed from the boots is great. Losing a full link in SR is obviously a huge hit to DPS, but I think this could be almost completely offset by either crafting or buying a Horror Essence (30% more dmg) Elder helm. That will have to come later because I don't have the currency for it, but right now I'm cruising through T15s as level 90 with 7850 life. Last edited by jokomul on Jan 13, 2018, 1:41:35 AM

Hey would I have to change anything to farm hogm with this build :)?
| |
Can it do uber atziri?
| |
No, you don't have to change anything. Yes, it can do uber atziri, just don't use RF for bosses, it's safer.

I can't seem to get this build to stay stable, and still do as much dps as I am looking for, every time I get more life it is a new battle with regen, am I doing something wrong or it just needs levels? https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Ramecies/characters

" You can get Abyss jewels with x% of life regen, or you can simply use a ruby flask with "increased duration" prefix. 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995 Ice Crash Crit Staff AKA "The Shaterring Karui": https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1289037 Tanky Block+AR+EV Ranger Crit Reave Dagger/Claw: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1301888 Last edited by ComradeSerge on Jan 15, 2018, 3:17:07 PM
