Hi everyone!

This is a build I made as my starter build in 3.0, and it worked out so well I decided to level it to 100. Which was pretty easy with Beachhead maps.

Anyway, if you're looking for a build that can easily and reliably farm Shaper, guardians, uber Izaro etc., this is the build for you. Mapping speed is pretty good too, although it isn't as fast as your wander or flicker striker or similar map clearing builds.

PROS:
+ Very tanky
+ Melts all bosses in the game
+ quick boss farmer due to using shield charge + having
+ 600k RF DPS on trash / 280k on Shaper
+ 1.2 MIL Scorching Ray DPS on trash / 590k on Shaper
+ 9-9.5K eHP (7.5-8k HP + 1.5k mana)
+ Immune to all reflect
+ Can do all map mods (on lower regen or -max, you just run maps without RF on)

CONS:
- Hard to min-max life and mana regen without decent gear
- NOT a budget build
- NOT a beginner friendly build (if you don't know how the mechanics of the game work, you'll have issues balancing your regen)

F.A.Q.
Q: How does Elemental Equilibrium (EE) work with this build? Don't your proc EE with fire damage from Righteous Fire (RF) or Scorching Ray (SR)?
A: EE works so that any spell or attack that hits a monster procs it. RF or SR do not hit, but apply a damage over time debuff instead. Your Shield Charge and Orb of Storms, which are used in the build, both do hit monsters, which is one of the reasons why we use these 2 skills. If you have any cold or lightning damage added to attacks on your gear, your Shield Charge will proc EE and monsters will take more fire damage. (That's also why it's important not to have any added fire damage to attacks on your gear.) Your Orb of Storms will proc EE always because it is lightning damage, which is why it is so important for boss fights.

Q: Does this build still work after Rise of the Phoenix was nerfed?
A: Yes, it is just harder to maintain your life/mana. You need to get more life regen on gear with the new RotP, such as a Marble Amulet base.

Q: What jewels to use with this build?
A: Look at the gear section of this post.

Q: How to sustain life and mana?
A: By getting max fire res primarily. Get life regen from items such as: any Marble Amulet; Immortal Flesh; Bloodgrip; Fragile Bloom; Voll's Vision if you have no corrupted items. Mana regen from: Blue Pearl amulet base; Atziri's Foible; jewels, etc.
If you don't have/can't afford/can't fit in any of the above items, simply using 1 Ruby flask should do the trick. Be sure to use a level 20 Purity of Fire, though, and to get all the life and mana regen nodes in the tree that I linked.

Gear

IMPORTANT NOTE: The linked gear is very min-maxed (i.e. extremely good and thus more expensive) which I acquired through grinding to 100. You do NOT NEED to have min-maxed gear and gems like shown here.

If you can't afford a 6-link Belly of the Beast, you can use a Kaom's Heart instead, which is cheaper, with a Balefire for Scorching Ray, which gives more SR DPS than a 5L Belly anyway.

Bandits and Pantheon
Kill all for 2 passive points.

For Pantheon, take Soul of Arakaali + Soul of Tukohama. Both are good for reducing RF degen and boosting survivability in general.

Levelling Guide
Just level with Scorching ray as soon as you can and start following your original tree from level 1. You should have no problems, especially if you can buy leveling uniques like Lifesprig, Tabula etc.
