So far I'm lvl 87 and running the brine king version of the build. I'm very tempted to respec to the Arakali version as although the builds been very tanky, I've run tankier builds with better clear speed. The big issue is burst dps, as it is for every build at late end game.
Maybe Divi can chime in on which is better for end game, I do know that even with Brine King I get stunned by Uber Izaro more or less every 2-3 hits. being stuck stationary while he's about to slam your face is not my idea of fun. Atleast not when I'm still only at 7.5k es~. I'm curious if the Arakali version has better tanking potential.

Issues: Blade flurry is clunky despite its high dps. If you get stunned, you lose your stacks. If you hold down the attack, sometimes it gets stuck at 1-2 stacks and releases without you wanting it to. This is a Bug that's persisted since the release of the skill.
Building up to 6 stacks takes times, this build does not have a fast APS. it takes 2s to get to 6stacks. my crit shadow many leagues ago did it virtually instantly.
I've been leveling reave and wild strike in the background for fun, I took a lvl 4 wild strike gem with 12% quality and it was one shotting mobs in lvl 67 reliquary. I didn't get a chance to test it in maps but I suspect at 20/20 it could do quite well, alas it's also clunky. I may also keep leveling a cyclone. I know Cyclone isn't ideal due to our mediocre movement speed and the fact we're using no quicksilver flasks. But Immunity to stun sounds nice, at which point only freeze would be an issue, solved with a quicksilver with freeze removal + charges/charge recovery.
I've also tested a bit with spectral throw and found it to be a bit slow. I'm now working on es+aps for all my jewels were I can. Maybe it'll solve my issues.

Some leveling experience: I went from low lvl to 86 with a Hand of Thought and Motion and I say this to all leveling players, don't rush into a hand of wisdom. It's still early in the league (week 2) so prices are 30x + their normal value for that item. let alone an 11% int one. or culling strike corruption. When I upgraded I didn't notice much if any aps increase, and my dps increase was negligible as mobs still took 2 ticks of BF to kill, and rares still went down with 2 6stack charges unless they had very tanky mods. I thought there would be a much greater improvement considering it was the most expensive upgrade to the build, taking 90% of all my currency to do. It is an upgrade, but not one that I felt effected my clearspeed. I was expecting it to get me to elebuzzsaw levels of aps, it didn't. not even close.

Finally for end game theory crafting, these new elder and shaped items have a TON of potential, for our case. It's the 15% reduced mana reservation ES shields. Imho it could let us run discipline and Wrath without Enlighten, or with Enlighten it might allow us to not spec into the aura nodes on the tree. The Big question is if we can also run a purity on such a 3 soc shield with 15% reduced mana res+4%(passive).
Also, a question to Divi, why are we not running any curse at all? No curse on hit, maybe with our totem. Or swapping out Wrath for Herald of Ice+curse on hit. Either Warlords Marks, Conductivity, Elemental Weakness, Enfeeble, or Temporal Chains?

This build really comes into fruition once you get high ES numbers, i.e. 10K+. Since ES double dips in survivability, i.e. you get a higher ES pool and you have higher sustain/sec, getting as high ES as possible is very important for survivability.

I am playing the Soul of Arakaali version and find it almost impossible to die. I am currently sitting at 11.5K ES (with the new clarity version of the jewel), and can tank Shaper's beam with Soul of Arakaali + consecrated ground. Once I get a 6L I will post some videos up of just facetanking everything. You should concentrate on high ES gear, i.e., 250+ ES helms, 280+ ES shields, 170+ ES boots, ES on jewels, etc.

I don't run a curse because mobs die too fast to matter to curse, and bosses have so much curse reduced effectiveness that it really doesn't make too much of a difference. Also, I made the build with Ylfeban's in mind (which is extremely rare this league), which applied a random curse on hit, making a curse even less necessary.

I need to still test out Reave/Wild Strike/other attacks, but I just love Blade Flurry so much (I like micromanaging the 6 stacks).

Been thinking about going Arakaali, currently using Brine King, how do you deal with stuns? Even with Brine being stunned every 2s feels awful and the only ring I could switch out for the ES stun threshold ring is Timeworn and dont think I could manage losing 11% attack speed.

In the soul of arakaali version I go down and grab Unwavering Stance
Hey guys, I have a 3.1 video up of a Shaper's realm.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSGOgblG9GU

This is the Soul of Arakaali version on a 5L. It is using the gear + build that is currently in my profile, and I show as much as I can before the start of each Shaper phase.

I tank Shaper beams quite well, assuming I am on Consecrated Ground + refresh Blood Rage to proc Soul of Arakaali, which most of the time I am. You'll notice I basically facetank everything, apart from all the Shaper balls (I can't quite out-regen them all without fortify). I survive Shaper slams without fortify, and I'm still missing an aura, a 6th link (I think I am missing some dmg from the life leech cap at certain moments).

This is using the new Watcher's Eye jewel, which is completely crazy for a build like this. With some more levels and better gear, I expect to hit ~13K ES and ~2M DPS.
Check out my 3.0 Melee CI Inquisitor, I kill Shaper on a 1 Link!

could u check my gear? have now only 9500 es, but have every jewel with es, 320+ es shield
not sure how to improve this to 10-11k
so need advice what piece of gear upgrade next
i cant get watcher jewel like urs, since there is no jewel with convert by clarity on hardcore and i guess i can't kill red elder myself without atlest 11k es (not sure could this jewel drop from yellow one, killed 2 times = nothing)
