[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

I tried Shaper for the first time last night. I was using T10 spectres and they got melted pretty quick. Re-summoned them as T17's from the shaper map and they absolutely blew shaper away.

Is there a happy medium in terms of spectre level? I mean a spectre level lower than T17'S but still able to do all content comfortably??

I've tried tier 15 and 16 spectres vs the shaper, they still melt him; I'm not sure about tier 14 ones, but they can melt guardians easily.

I've found T12 spectres to be more than sufficient for every content up to t15. Not too sure about Guardians and Shaper, however. T14 seems to melt everything without a problem.

Two questions and one comment if I may:

Question 1: When keeping the map instance in the Templar Lab from deactivating, do you need to go down the stairs or is it enough to simply portal in to where the waypoint is at the top of the stairs?

Question 2: I'm new to this enchant business. I got my hands on a pretty mediocre helmet which does have a nice 9% bone offering enchant, it is subpar to the Skullhead in terms of minion support and resists and mana, but the enchantment is really quite nice, lets me use my 27% shield and still have max block. It does not, however, have +2 minion gems :(
Question 2a: How much of a gimp will the loss of the extra 2% regen for my minions be with t16/shaper? Seems fine with t15 so far. I am asking because I will never be able to color this helm the same way as Skullhead.
Question 2b: Do I understand correctly that an Enchant overwrites an implicit? That means that I can NEVER get a Bone Helmet with its implicit minion bonus AND an enchantment at the same time?
Thanks much

Comment: I've been playing a version with zombies, since I value the 8% additional reduction as well as the small shielding vs. stray shots and porcupines, etc., they offer. I have been surprised that I have only lost a total of 4 zombies after doing about 25 un-IDed rare T12-T14 maps and about 5 T15s. And these are "merely" lvl 20 zombies, I just skilled them together with my AG in a minion-life + fortify setup, without any +gem item. I do have one Fortified Legion jewel skilled, perhaps this plays some non-insignificant role; with Bone Offering up all the time, I really have no problems whatsoever with zombie death (let alone AG or Spectre death). I can recommend zombies, at least to t15.

Really loving this build. I am ele-weakness capped with the standard setup, just missing a tiny bit of resists for ele-weakness cap using alternative Rathpith setup for MF (slotting Biscos instead of Stone of L) or because of some bizarre mod combinations where I have chosen to use The Anvil instead for 78% block (chaining extra projectiles extra etc.). Block is so fantastic because it scales to every content: It always blocks 7x% of spells or attacks no matter how powerful they are, as long as they can be blocked.

when i use a Toku shield wouldnt CWDT + tempest shield a good option? the 3% could make a huge difference
So after some tweaking I solved Hall of Grandmaster.
Changed some gems and 3 gear slots for some chaos resist.
Will record a Video in the afternoon when I have more time.
You can't use spectres as they are instant down as they scale for PVP.
Also the additional chaos res gear cost about 5c so it's really easy to adjust.

Gear I used:

PS: The Kaoms isn't neccessary at all just had one laying around.
Also you can use another weapon as you don't "hit" except with CWDT firestorm.
I will try some other stuff also.
Didn't do any changes to the skill tree or jewels.

Loving this build so far, levelling smoothly on a 5-Link vis mortis.

Just to clarify, which curse is the most efficient for this build? I see some people using temp chains, while I have also seen some people using vulnerability or flammability.

Thanks!

I have used enfeeble for all content thus far. Since the damage is more than sufficient, i think it's an invaluable curse for hardcore.

If i get a +1 curse ammy, i'll run vuln in addition.
This build is RIDICULOUS!

Did Minotaur (no mod) at 71 deathless (lost my AG, but it was for science, so don't care)
Did Uber lab at 72, even chopping blocks were easily negated with convocation and a minion flask

Everything is just gone. Off the screen. Deleted. This is easily the most fun I've had on this type of budget. (very low, honestly)

Opinion question - 20% increased minion damage corruption on neck piece vs a damage curse using +1 curse corruption. I'm not sure how to calculate specific spectre dps using PoB so I can't tell which is better. More specifically, I can't tell if it's stronger ENOUGH to justify the cost (20c vs 2ex)

Like you said this build destroys everything. I did shaper with just vulnerability and bone offering. Why would you need more curses? Lightning ball with gmp is just too great. You don't wanna drop gmp. With gmp I can curse whole screen. If you really want another curse I suggest to get corrupted gloves with elemental weakness on hit corruption and +1 curse necklace
I feel like my life is relatively low in this build and seeing as how I cant get any more life nodes is this normal? I am aware I am only level 71 with this build, but I cannot help but feel like my life is just really low. My gear is almost optimized, but I am having trouble with dex, and have to use an amulet with dex/life/res. As well as a unset ring with dex.

If The OP could take a look at my profile and possibly look at my gear setup and let me know what to possibly change. Or if anyone else with exp with this build wouldn't mind looking, I would much appreciate it. Not sure where else I can squeeze more life, and balance res etc.

Also, what is with these flask choices? Just seems odd to me...
This is all relating to HHC btw.
