[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

Okay so I'm now level 82 and moving into t6 maps with VG/WM but my AG is beginning to take damage, even with bone offering on. I don't want to lose him again. It's not even the 5c, its the having to find 6 items and trade with 6 people every time... Could somebody please help suggest how to keep AG alive longer so I don't have to worry about losing it moving into harder maps? Here is my current load out.

I'm looking into switching out Biscos leash now, and ofc need to get some better gloves/rings. Are there any items I could swap out to make this better?

Im using leer cast(DMG), dying breath(cures effectiveness/damage), Z. Cassock(chaos res and consecrated ground), Victarios flight(movement aura), and southbound gloves(%life)

Links are as follows:
Raise Zombie, Animate Guardian, Minion Life, Empower/Fortify

Zombies die often but resummoning them is quick.

Im tryin' this build and it's doin' OK in red tier maps, I'm currently 83, do you know how can I improve more my character?

I'm not playin' on hardcore, so I guess I'm doin' something wrong cause @grimjack68 says that the OP focused on hardcore for the gem setup? All I want is to kill the Shaper for the first time in my life in 600 fuckin' hours of game xD

I'm using 1 Wicker + 3 TV for spectres.

Spoiler

And for the AG: Kaom's Root, Dying Breath, Southbound, Zahndethus' Cassock and Leer Cast, giving me double damage boost from the weapon and the mask.
Not a whole lot of room for improvement here, to be honest.

You've taken Spirit Eater in ascendancies instead of Commander of Darkness. CoD gives you the same damage boost, plus some extra resists, for the cost of a level 1 clarity aura.

You are running a dual socket belt, even with the 50% boost it's not as good as a good single socket with life and resists.

No Rumi's flask. I suspect that with Bone Offering up, you're close to, but not quite, max block. that would help - especially with bosses.

Your AG setup would be really good for Solar Guards, but for Tukohama's Vanguards, you're missing a lot of damage by not running dual dyadus axes. Your setup boosts your damage by 30%, dual dyadus boosts by 200%. Dual dyadus and leer cast makes it 215%.

Oh ok, I'll take a Rumi's flask because I don't need the resist flasks anymore. So what flasks do you think are BiS for this build? Rumi's, Life, Basalt...?

I don't think I need extra resists because currently I'm at 107/98/94/-40 so... idk.

And I will change my AG setup to that you said.

You don't need Rathpith AND Lazhwar's, that will be well over max block.

The only way I've made my AG survive high tier red maps, guardians, and shaper, is to put him in a +2 minion gems helm, with AG / Minion Life / Fortify / Empower level 3+.

Alternatively, when I wasn't willing to dedicate a 4L just to his survival, I have run him in the weapon or shield slot with minion life and fortify, and unsummoned him when he starts to take damage by weapon switching - press X twice. Then I can resummon him after the battle.

Recently, I've actually dropped my AG entirely.

So if we want to boost the survivability of our AG as much as we can, what items would we be using ?
A Bringer of Rain and Kaom´s roots ? Of course only in the context of Tukohama Vanguard setup.
With Icetomb and Dyadus. Currently my AG is linked with Minion life in the advancing fortress.

I have run AG in a 4L +2 minion gems helm, with fortify / minion life / empower 3+. Use the following gear: 2xDyadus axes / Icetomb / Bringer of Rain / Rainbowstride boots / Southbound or rare gloves with life and resists. This setup has survived a ghosted Phoenix successfully.

So which items use for AG with Solar Guards ?

For SGs, I use 2xSingularity / Leer Cast / Zahn's Cassock / Victario's Flight / Southbound or rare gloves with life and resists. You can swap the Dying Breath staff for the singularity maces if you wish. I like the singularities because they do fractionally more damage boost and the Fx for them are neat.

Can I use AG before the gem is level 20 and resummon it every time it levels up to give it the health bonus?
No need. The AG will always be the highest your gem supports.

I am lvl 93 currently, farming anything below guardians - was destroyed when I tried to beat the Phoenix.. - aaaand I've never used the AG. Playing SSF is too much pressure to get the right equipment once, so I don't want him to die and do it again.

But I don't feel the need at all actually. I can take any boss up to T15 - with maybe the exception of red elder, though I didn't try recently - with a Tabula Rasa and 3 Solar Guards.

Basically, I play with a Fortify Stone Golem, 8 Fortify Zombies, and 3 Solar Guards.
I have one jewel with "Minions have 6% to taunt on hit with attacks" and another with "Minions have 6% to blind on hit with attacks". Which means that as long as my Zombies are alive, bosses are taunted and blinded.
Does the part of "Can have up to 1 additional Totem summoned at a time" Tukohama's Fortress even come to effect for Vanguards? I've been seeing not more than 2 totems up (using 2 solars 2 vanguards) at any given time the past few maps that i did with the shield

No. This was nerfed in 3.1. The only way to get multiple totems we have discovered now is to link in increased duration, which reduces the number of damage gems you can run.

Ok, so I've been doing T11-15 pretty easily. I decided to give T16 Minotaur a try and I only got him to 1/2 hp. The problem was that my TV's kept dying super quick. I dunno what I can do differently, or what to change gear wise.

Hopefully those with a more experiences eye can have a peek at my setup and chime in with some advice.
