[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

Question since I just hit endgame with this build.

First are spectres effected by gear you wear that doesn't specifically say minion on it. Such as if I have gear or jewels that has fire dmg or totem dmg on it do the affect the spectres.

Second if I roll a elder head 7 link for raise spectres and I want to run two TVs and two solar guards. It was mentioned in the op post I could run solar guards set up in the chest. How does this work when summoning the spectres. Do they get the skills that RS is currently linked to when summoned and keep it? In which case would I socket RS into the head summon TVs then socket it into the chest and summon the solars? Or do you have two copies of raise spectres one with each set of links?

Finally I was reading the last few pages and read over the spectrenomicon. I was going to try a few different spectres today to see what playstyle I like. I want to use this build mainly for big boss killing as I have a frostblade raider for mapping and clearing. Are there any recommendations for boss clearing other than TVs and Fire Eater Cannibals and can most spectres be run off this build without major changes to passive tree or gear?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a reason to not use a 3-Link setup like this:

CWDT (maxLvl) + Desecrate (maxLvl) + Bone Offering (maxLvl) ?

So that the Bone Offering can proc even without any corpses around.

A few issues with that (for me at least):

1) We are terribly socket starved. Even with double unset rings, I still don't have room for my zombies because I'd rather have a Stone Golem.

2) Pre-casting Bone Offering is the way to go and CWDT doesn't allow you to do that. I'd rather have 77%/71% block before running into a pack/boss rather than risking getting hit by spicey mods before it procs.

Curently I am using that 2x2 setup, low level CWDT + desecrate, and max level CWDT + bone offering, problem is the bone offering is proccing after 3200 dmg taken, and that is like half of my life, its too late. So i am considering - lower the level of CWDT to somewhere around 2000 hp taken - but thats also means lower effect of bone offering, OR just casting it by myself. Then i could try something like cwdt (level 10) + desecrate + immortal call; 4th socket will be max bone offering.
I know i am lazy person, but pre-casting bone offering is really good thing. :)

Hmmm I don't think I intend to run the AG build with 2x Dyadus and stuff though, just seems scary for a newbie like me to take care of something so expensive and fragile hahaha

I dont use dyadus on my ag anyway. I use those cheep and real good buff items. chect it out

dying breath staff
leer cast helm
victario's flight boots
gloves with hp and resists
vest zahndethus cassock

If you link AG with zombies + fortify + minion life its not easy to die.

Thanks so much ! I'll take a look into it !

I also took a look at your equipment and see some really really nice mods there, just wondering how do people actually get those perfect mods for their equipment? It seems so so easy for all the experienced players

Nope, only specific jewels, items, and passives that have a minion/spectre tag. Not to be confused with things like auras and debuffs that do affect them.

Yep, 2 RS gems linked with appropriate items/gems. You'd summon TV's corresponding to that RS setup, and vice versa for SG's.

Good news and bad news. Spectres are a lot easier to work with since the necronomicon came out because of the 3.1 changes to how they work - ie: you get to keep your spectres until they die.

Bad news is that if you want the best possible damage that you can get out of your spectres, there are only 2 top-of-the-line ones. TV's for bossing, SG's for clearing. Mixing and matching them and finding a balance between the two depends on personal preference. I personally use 3 SG/1TV for anything other than Shaper or U-Atziri, in which cases I switch to 3TV/1SG. But the point still remains: Those two spectres are in a tier above everything else. I know because I've spent hours messing around with different spectres in 3.1, and while a number of them are viable even for high-end mapping, they still pale in comparison to those two.

We are all hoping that GGG sees this massive pigeonhole that is the current spectre selection and spends some time in either introducing more monsters that are on par with SG/TV or buff the existing monsters to make spectres more interesting.

Hi, I just want to say a huge thank you for this build/guide, this is my second character and league (I'm on xbox) and chose this character so I can progress in my atlas, well yesterday I completed 157/157 all solo except for grandmaster halls, I did t16 twinned corrupted map, shaper, uber atziri all for the first time and without a 6L or animate guardian.

Oh yea, believe me, I would much rather also be lazy and just use CWDT+BO. But I just don't see a viable way to do that if you're running yellow t15+ maps without putting yourself in risk.

Honestly though, if BO only lasted a few seconds it would be terrible for clearing efficiency, but ~14 second duration is not too bad.

which spectres or maybe FG benefits from Immolate gem? and how
Doesn't benefit either Tukohama's Vanguards - they don't 'hit' - or Solar Guards - they don't cause ignite.

Maybe Flame Golems, as long as you aren't using Elemental Focus with them.
Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD
Feel free to message me in game if I'm on.
Hi,

First of all thanks for the build. I'm completely new to leveling summoners so I've been following the leveling guide step by step for passive points. Once I hit level 28 I was 6 points off death attunement, unable to get +1 to spectres. I did every passive point quest/bandits and I'm still short by 6 points. Just thought to let you knoW!

Also, I went into the Lunaris Temple to spawn flame sentinels but they keep on dying. Do I have to go back every time when the spectre dies?
Would it be too much to kindly ask you to look at my gear and tell me what I should upgrade now, considering I have a 10ex budget?

I'm sometimes having trouble with Shaper due to AG dying quite a bit... I know I still need to level him up, but thats just 1 gem level - I don't think it's gonna be that much of a difference.

Apart from that I kinda feel squishy... Am currently at 75/60 block chance, still need the lab enchant I know, thats my next target.

But apart from that... Anything jumps at you?
Hi,

I'm currently using with success this build and I'm able to finish also maps at tier 15 (have not gone further yet).

I've combinned the original build from the main page and also used the 3 fire golems also. Here is my current gear:

I would like to keep my spectres at 6 link and release golems at full power by changing my weapon and my shield by a Two handed weapon.
I'll certainly swap bone offering with descecrate as I never use Bone offering.

Do you think it's a good idea and I should give a try ? In that case have you some advice concerning what I should look for 2H weapon ?
Or is it not viable at all ?

Regards
