Well, they are casting fireballs, so i don't know why you ever running pierce with that (the projectile that pierce will not deal aoe damage. It would be only on last hit).
Faster projectiles are quite underwhelming for damage, and it would be only usefull if map is in straight line to hit something that was invisible from initial spot. Standart projectile speed is quite enough, i think. They already can shoot distance that they can't actually "see".

What would a 5L vis mortis want for gems? Right now I have 4b1r rolled so that would leave off swift affliction, should I make a change?

Great build!, managed to kill shaper at level 79. My animate guardian tends to get super low during the fight. I try to convocate him out of harms way, even had to log out twice just to save him.

Noob question: how do you get a 4th spectre? I have one from gem, one from passive, and I have the boots to give one more. How do I get a 4th?

So, a couple things with that setup.

Southbound only helps incrementally - if you manage to freeze something, it lasts longer, which increases the chill debuff time and boosts damage. However, you already chill for a decent length of time from the offhand dyadus / icetomb combo. Anything that can survive longer than your chill duration is a boss level or higher, and your AG isn't going to be able to freeze those in the first place. Honestly, I'd replace those with a rare set of gloves with some fire/lightning resist and maybe life.

Leercast is great for increased damage, but terrible for surviving. I'd suggest The Bringer of Rain instead. Massive boost in life, armour, and evasion.

Last, but certainly not least, I'd put AG in a +2 minion gems helm, AND link it up with a level 3 or higher Empower, minion life, and fortify. With that setup I ran a ghosted Phoenix and my AG never dropped below full health.

I'd absolutely swap that swift affliction in for the minion resistance gem. Your spectres should have really high resists by now even without that gem.

Well, your spectres will be pretty much immortal by endgame anyway. The charges would be nice to have, however, dps output from them is already enough, and how much personal defence are you sacrificing by giving your shield to your minions? Probably a great play for mid level mapping, but I don't know if I'd want to farm guardians / shaper with it.

You should be able to max out your block chance with a decent shield + rumi's flask without the passive nodes.
