Yeah, I too was BS - Pyro, and EE. Then I spec out EE go for DS. You won't regret, especially at boss and clear map speed.

This came up on Windz stream last night and his opinion is this:

If you're mapping with your character, take DS

If you're boss killing with your character, take EE

How are you guys coming to the conclusion that Yoke is BIS for this build? I tried it last league on my miner and was very unimpressed. I felt like I got way more out of just a decent rare amulet.

Doing this seems popular, so here we go. https://pastebin.com/Ajd8Xfyd what can I upgrade? 12k hideout tooltip, Ive had literally no problems this build is amazing, except I can't find a way to go as fast as I want. Kaoms roots are too slow for me, and even with atziris step (I have 25% boots) it wouldn't be fast enough. Am I missing something? I wanna go faster D:

That's probably because you look at paper dps too much.

You can use Brightbeak for mapping, last league i was farming t16 with it, only swapping to dagger for boss killing.

I played the build to 95 last league and killed Shaper/Uber Atziri with a rare amulet equipped. I tried Yoke and didn't feel it made a significant difference compared to just running my rare amulet. I think calling Yoke "best in slot" is a stretch.

Well it became more apparent to me that Yoke was BiS against bosses but that's because I pay attention to my time to kill, a lot since I min-max. With basic gear any rare would look superior but with Shaper gears, single/dual/tri extra mods, then Yoke wins that cake.

With a pretty good rare with crit multi, crit chance, elder mod I would still kill Shaper (duh) but there would be a chance that I would somtimes get portal phase but with Yoke, even though, it dropped my paper dps by quite a few Thousands, I ended up instagibbing bosses regardless if it was Shaper/Elder/Uber Atziri/Uber Trio.

So yeah, if you don't care for min maxing or getting better gears then a normal rare would probably look appealing. Yoke is just a hidden gem that a lot of people don't know much about as they tend to drop mines and call it a day. It's pretty apparent that Yoke is being used more often now though, judging by the price they're going for atm compared to last league.

But hey, agree to disagree. I've done my part in this thread since 3.1 and a lot of other people tested and confirmed the above.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. My concern is just that calling it best in slot will make people want to get it when they're not going to get nearly as much out of it as you did. Looking at your Sabo on standard there's no doubt that it's best in slot with your gear. However, a player that's basing their gear around what Windz posted on the first page is not likely to see the same result you did. It's best in slot if you min/max your miner the way you did, but for a majority of players they're going to get a lot more out of a nice rare without spending nearly as much currency.

If I was personally going for a Yoke, I'd use your standard gear as an example, and it would be the last item I get.

That is a very fair and valid point.
