When your build guide reaches over 200 pages, of course there will be people that have problems. Yet, here I am trying to answer as many questions as I can and go over trees/gearing one-by-one in this thread. I have often boosted damage of other people by 1M+ in league with real items I find on poe.trade for under 3ex. Some people just can't prioritize gearing properly, balance wise oak, or the many other things that this build uses to achieve optimization.

And for the record, I have never talked to/had any interaction at all with any of the aforementioned reviewers other than what you see in this thread. Message them yourself if you so desire.

They are not my friends, nor are they even minor acquaintances. I appreciate them greatly for them giving the feedback and I am very grateful for them sharing their experiences, but we do not know each other at all nor have we discussed anything ever outside of this thread. Take off your tinfoil hat. They simply enjoyed the build, and I encouraged everyone in the thread to give their feedback from league, since I self-admittedly made this build on the GG-Endgame-Standard spectrum.

Them helping each other while I collected the reviews was an integral part of transitioning this to league. I commend everyone involved! Great work! :)

As you can tell, I didn't play Harbinger at all. Actually the first "3 month" league I skipped entirely since I started in Anarchy.

I'm not singling out anyone by referencing said behavior as that similar to a crybaby. I'm calling it like it is. I took several steps to help ensure people saw everything for what it is:

1. Make a build thread openly admitting you made it in standard with GG gear, post said gear
2. Saying upfront that you won't achieve the same damage without it, but can still achieve GOOD damage in league
3. From day one, posting an honest, raw PoB with the GG gear and no bullshit shock/intimidate/punishment/frenzy charges/etc... stuff that everyone else uses.

And people still complain about it.

I mean, some builds just post screenshots of their PoB (like you did in your thread), have their character tabs hidden (like many do), or even just make bullshit theoretical builds with imaginary 100% perfect everything items that don't exist. This build I made with items I actually made myself, I even ran shaper with shit jewelery I had laying around my stash, yet somehow people still complain (or perhaps cry?) about it.

But it's fine! I appreciate it. Being featured on Bullshit Builds was great! I just looked and I gained about 30 subs on YT and my friends and I have all had a pretty good laugh about it :)

Jessica u should be very careful about ur critic on others build because looking at how u reacted to rupenus critic on ur build is..... Also should we post some good meme from ur build guide ...like oh we are hybrid build because we don't go full crit but only 60%

You seem to be a pretty passive agressive man lol, saw it on reddit too. I am on no ones sides on this, ahfack made a build and sure he utilized his gear which makes the build look way better than it is, though it's still good evne with a budget. Don't think he ever said it was a bad build pre se(?) just that it felt more like a gear showcase than anything else. Everyone has opinions for pretty much anything in the game, instead of being agressive just state your view points in a polite manner!

first there's no passive agressive stuff going on im just replying in a way to make her respond but im still respecting all the TOS. I don't mind if ppl critic ahfack build, but ur critic has to be constructive or at least make sense.

That reddit guy making video didn't balanced is res thats why the dmg on is (budget) was so bad. So before going on someone thread just to post some hate just make sure ur point make sense thats the only thing that bugs me with jessica comment.

Also that reddit guy didn't talked about build showcased he said that ahfack build is missleading n that ppl shouldn't play it because bladeflurry or molten strike is better.... has if nobody know that bladeflurry is op.

- I think it is fair someone can criticize how the build thread is formated AKA mirror gear damage+defenses showcased first.
While it don t bother me that much I can understand why people who play only temp league could find it missleading

- That being said, the guy was full bullshiting when he was using a melee skill to compare dps vs a bow skill on shaper.

Why can t he just use another bow and try to see if he can deal that much damage/defenses cheaper? I dont know if prism build is more expensive than regular bow builds but it seems to me prism is above all about clear speed + boss killing.

Looked pretty stupid since it seemed is main point was about killing shaper and totaly forget you need to map before that. His bullshit molten strike would be 3 time slower than Prism.

-Conan the librarian guy on reddit seems to like better rayaman. I don t take side on that either but there is quite the anti-afhak crew on the reddit thread atm.

Ah didn't even notice the Wise Oak part. If at least for budget version he gets 2 resists balanced it could still be okay but if just 1/3 of the damage that is slightly misleading.

I think using Molten Strike or BF with PoB is somewhat dangerous, because you don't factor in clear speed and TS or LA is far superior, literally fire and go.

This build is very hard to cap resist even more to balance wise oak. For a very budget league player (like 5-10ex), it might be very hard to get oak balanced and still deal good dps.

I'd like to chime in here regarding this bullshit builds thing.


There are plenty of "build guides" on this forum that are basically just mirror service threads, with people posting bloated PoB numbers using passive trees and gem combinations that only make sense with very high level characters and mirror-tier gear. Choosing this guide to critique on that basis is just lazy.

The only way you could think this guide was only an advertisement is if you glance at the guide and don't try making the character. The main post includes detailed explanations for stat priority on budget gear and numerous testimonials with examples of easily achievable in-league gear.

If that's not enough, Ahfack monitors the thread and regularly makes lengthy comments which are usually aimed at helping players make the build work in leagues. How is this not a proper guide to making this build work?


That's not to say the guide isn't an advertisement, obviously it partly is but why does that even matter? Shouldn't it be considered a point in favour of the build that the OP has taken the gear as far as it can possibly go and thus demonstrated how far it can be scaled?

Bullshit implies dishonesty but there's no dishonesty on Ahfack's part in this guide. The first part of the thread is a showcase of the build's potential with clear disclaimers on achievability, which is a natural part of any good build guide.

This whole discussion honestly feels like class hatred. "Ahfack is rich on standard and made an OP build with his OP gear, he must be a dishonest moneygrabbing prick trying to get noobs to buy his mirror items." It's just stupid. Why does everyone have to be so catty about it? If any of these haters actually had mirror bases they would make similar guides in a heartbeat.


As an end note, I played this build in Harbinger SC with rares that were decent at best and got to 1.4 million Shaper DPS with +1 arrow drillneck and +2 proj abyssus. It worked pretty well for what I wanted it to do, which was kill bosses with a bow. Wise oak was pretty hard to balance but not impossible by any means. In the end I scrapped the build because it felt too squishy for my tastes. I'm not interested in trying it again, but I still think this is one of the best guides on this entire forum, even if I didn't like playing the build.

inflating POB is when u put up buff that u don't have or put some retard setup that takes 10 sec to setup, impressing player O_O i mean 5.4M is pretty average imo impressing would be more like some 10M+ build.
