I see what you mean :( If I craft multiple mods I cannot roll attack speed right?
But can we make something out of it? Attack speed only drops from 2.92 to 2.88 if I equip instead of piscators.

Edit: For the moment I simply added attack speed and it beats piscators according to PoB:
Spoiler

If someone figures something out how I can do some trick to craft it better pls let me know.

Just realized a lot of wanders out there (including myself before this realization) are losing anywhere from 20-40+% of their singletarget dps due to mana leech not keeping up.

This isnt really mentioned anywhere, and is IMO something thats p. important when optimizing the build.

When mapping Assassin's Mark takes care of all the mana needs, except obv. if it has the Hexproof mod.

For single target though, you mostly rely on mana leech. To get PoB dps numbers on the actual boss you pretty much need

Total Mana * 0.2 > Barrage Mana Cost * Barrage Attack Rate

Which means that running Wrath + Empower + Enlighten is literally never worth it if you also run HoI (which you do).

I'm not sure I have such issues. Mana leech is 0.4% (177.6 for me at the moment) + I regen 28/sec due to the addition of Alira quest reward. I have 137 mana with reserve at the moment (wrath+empower+enlighten), barrage costs 51 so the first hit should refill... Or am I missing something?

Depends on your attack speed.

Mana leech is capped at 20% of your mana pool per second.

In your case, if you're doing more than roughly 3 attacks/second you're losing dps due to being OOM.

If your attack speed is similiar to mine ( i have 4.21 attacks per second according to PoB) you're doing at least 30% autoattacks instead of the actual Barrage skill.

That is not entirely true.
It more depends on what jewelry you have. If you got, for example, decent Opals with t1/t2 WED rolls, even a <200edps rare wand will outperform Piscator quite easily. On the other side, if your jewelry is based more on flat ele rolls, Piscator will destroy rare wand in terms of dps output. So yeah, jewelry matters.
Of course, piscator is a great bang-for-the-buck choice, but when it comes to greater gear levels, it is left in dust by rare wands.

Craft "cannot roll caster mods" (it's a suffix, costs cheap 5 blessed orbs at lvl8 Vagan bench) and slam, maybe even twice. Then just remove the mod and craft 12% aspeed on it.

@vtepezh: It is a good idea for metacraft the wand thanks. Will grind for it.

Interesting I also have 4.08 attack rate according to PoB. Can we have more opinions from players who are playing wander since a long time?

It's true, i never went as far as checking whats the exact value of Attacks/sec for it to happen but if you attack too fast and/or your mana cost is high, it will happen.

Happens to me on DP zerk with 8%~ mana unreserved and high cast speed as well.

This problem was always there when reserving a lot of mana. Currently there's pretty much no way to eliminate this issue while having such low amount of mana unreserved. You either have to have more free mana or scale manaregen. In both ways, you need to sacrifice something for that.
I don't know what you guys are talking about.
I hade no issue's in Legacy League (so no Legacy Vinktar there for me).

Simply don't run Empower if you can't deal enough Damage to sustain Mana.
Or maybe it's a playstyle thing? Mabye don't "spray" so much around?
