Dying a lot against Shaper or Guardian , any idea? im only 4800Hp ( Need gloves) but should i just try to dodge more? Even with some HP gloves i will be at 4950Hp

Is there any reason we shouldn't go for forces of nature nodes around level 85 as opposed to trying to work our way up the wand nodes at the top? At least until we get enough to get fusilade or further? POB seems to say the forces of nature are more damage.

Hey, been doing pretty well with this build and got to maps yesterday. I've been fine up to t6 or so but I'm moving into t7-t8 and I'm having problems with Herald of Ice and power charge generation, where I only get shatters in maybe 1 in 5 packs which leads me to rarely having power charges. This is because I'm not critting enough right? Not sure if there's a problem with my gear or my tree.

Well for starters you dont have quality on any gems except KB/Barrage

You also dont really need Point Blank yet i didn't spec into that until easily T10+ maps.

You didnt get Vaal Pact, or the flask nodes either.

You also dont have Dying Sun or Vinktars.

Yeah, I realize there's a lot of things for me to improve on but right now I'm just trying to figure out how to fix my issue with Herald of Ice and power charge generation. Is it purely a crit chance problem or does general damage output affect shatter chance as well? I'm not real clear on exactly how Herald of Ice and shatter mechanics work.

I just got a 6 link chest and wondering what my next upgrade should be. My options are getting +2 barrage helmet, craft rare wand, and boots with lightning enchant. Which do you think is most important?

For the helm enchant, would it be worth it to get a devotos for about 200-220c? I have enough for that right now, but getting a starkonjas/rat's nest with +2 barrage is like 25+ex right now and way out of my budget.

Generic reply to multiple people. On PoB with my gear, although it should really be the same for everyone for the most part, Stark/devoto with +2 is a 27% dps increase from normal Rat's. +2 Rat's is a 35% dps increase from normal.

On another note WTF is up with Vinktar prices? I held off for a bit while they were 115c to get other things. Then held off the last few days to see if they would go back down from 165c+. Now they are 200c. I'm wondering if I should try my luck and just buy a vinktar map.

I was in the same boat and had a terribad wand. I believe if you run thunderfists and static electricity + wrath/herald, piscator's will be your best bet for quite a while, until you can afford a GG rare wand. note that the really good rare wands are extremely expensive, so piscator's should last you a long time. I got mine for 12c with 18IAS / 20CC and it works really good.

with the rest of my gear my KB effective crit chance is 59% with diamond flask, and barrage is 76%. it will be even higher with a really good rare wand since the base crit chance is quite a bit higher.
