I'll use this on jewel socket below it.

reflect is not an issue but i'd use rearguard and convert the damage to light + 40% cold(new passives) if i were you. rearguard is a must in HC with this build.

How is 10% added damage even close to 10% more damage on a build that has over 200% added dmg again?

10% physical damage added as ele damage and "increased damage" are different stuff bro.

one modifies the base damage and increases it - > increased damage; -it doesnt touch to the base damage!-

the other one directly modifies your base damage, enlarges it and all "increaed damage" modifiers modifies this enlarged damage pool. in short: thisdirectly modifies your base damage pool!- i'll tell you how:

10% physical damage added as ele damage just makes your 100 base damage become 110, then all the "increased damage" modifiers modify your damage.

example below:

100 phys base damage with 200% increased damage becomes 300,

100 phys damage and 200% increased damage with "10% physical damage added as ele damage" is 330 damage, 30 of it is ele dmg.

> btw i'm civil engineer - static building designer. i wouldnt be very cocky while talking about math if i were you. : )

I think he meant that since the build already has Hatred, Ash, Signal fire, Phys to light, and added fire the 10% doesn't go from 100 -> 110 but from like 260 -> 270.

10% increased damage to 260 would make 286 you know.

even that is not true,

hatred + ash has nothing to do with these calculations.

because its base damage, it gets multiplied by all gems & and increased damage modifiers both. its almost like "more" damage like RF to spells.

the more phys% modifiers you have, the more that 10% additional damage becomes,(larger phys pool - larger addition)

the more damage you get from elemental focus or wed, that 10% additional also gets buffed by those too.

Spoiler
note for enthusiastic people: 260 damage and 10% more damage would make, 286. 260 and 10% increased damage does 286 too. 100% increased damage and 10% more damage would make, 572. 100% increased damage would make 260 damage become 520. 110% increased damage would make 260 become 546.(in order to explain more and increased is not the same thing, showing the difference between 100% inc + 10% added vs 110% increase was the most important example i think) the "more" "converted damage added as" damage modifiers just gets multiplied by increased damage modifiers once again. 100 increased + 10% added(or more%) and 110% increased damage are different as you can see here.
