The reward points are not few in comparison to the time of the race ?
6 hours and max points for level is 5...
the cool thing about this race is that you'll feel invincible 90% of the time, then you'll get to a boss and your buffs will wear off and you realize you now have to kill an onslaughted arctic malachai. uh oh.

BTW For those that are new - the arctic clouds are pathetic early on but insane later. you will eventually need cold res.

EDIT: see above for the FUKING UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR looooooooooooool

that was insanely hard, im pretty sure they buffed the arctic clouds. Even as a tanky melee I had a ton of close calls in act 4.

All the Headhunter buffs did was make this a SOMEWHAT FAIR fight.

Kudos to the race designer

Up to this day i still genuinely cant understand whats so hard or the reasoning behind the counter starting no matter what from the start of the race rather than when each player begins the race for this specific kind of events. Seriously whats the problem?

Is it the shared stash between characters? Make it so that each character on creation for this race begins with an empty stash, or mark the stash tabs already used by the former character in a similar way remove-only tabs work but with the only difference you cant take the items out unless the race is finished. Surely there must be many more solutions to this, if thats the problem.

Seriously can someone shed some light on this? It cant be THAT time consuming to have the counter start when you "wake up" from twillight strand.

This is like basic rule for this type of events. The goal is to kill the specific boss as fast as possible right? But a person who started three hours later and did it in 30minutes is still penalized for not being there at the start of the race. It surely cant be only me who finds that extremely poor design and contradicting to the purpose of the event.

Unless i didnt get it right in which case im sorry for this irrelevant post. If not though then please UP YOUR GAME GGG.

Thats why they didnt want to have any race season at all, because they're working on new race mechanics.
Be thankful we get any race at all in the meantime
;3
Gotta say, worst race this season so far, Arctic is boring as all hell due to how random and slowing it is. And Headhunter feels terribly overrated. I just can't stay interested in something this glacial and tedious. Bring on the BLAMT instead, never run Arctic again.

...this was supposed to be fun? Really? How about a challenge other than to my patience.

That said, looking forward to the flashback race. How about you run another one of THOSE instead of another one of this slow-paced OHAA garbage? Hopefully I missed a 2nd FB listing somewhere in the 100+ events. Beyond is infinitely more fun than Arctic could ever hope to be, since it poses some actual threat instead of tedium.
People who don't like the Labyrinth are not a minority: Be heard - say you don't like it in your signature. Don't leave complaining about lab to others - GGG needs to see how many people dislike it. Ascendancy must be gated on true ARPG content, not a poorly-crafted internet Legend of Zelda wannabe.

5 characters later, my feelings after trying some melee grunt:
Arctic clouds are just boring. Trying to reposition, trying to chase down or run away, is not merely harder (which is fine, onslaught already affects that) but really tedious.

There's a reason I don't like to run tempchains/tar zombies, and this race reminded me that arctic clouds belong in the same category.

Ohwell, back to caster master races!
I just wish I could get to the 3rd area before I die.

It's trivial. Go slower, learn to dodge, learn to know what you can and can't facetank. The only way you die in this race is impatience or boredom. There is no real threat because Onslaught just isn't enough with these other mods. It's just... slow. Move out of the storms, move away from dangerous nemesis mods, etc. Easy. But...

so...

damned...

slow. I can't even take it seriously it's so boring.

This race is the most fucking RNG fest I've ever seen in my life. I literally could not logout in time from a pack @prisioner's gate 15minutes in because the mobs had onslaught + haste aura on one of the rares and artic clouds all over the place.

I appreciate you guys are trying to make a good race season but please make fucking decent competitive races.

Medallion race season imo, is one of the most "fun" races without being fucking ridiculously overtuned (not having a volatile every 5 seconds). Please make more sig races and end this torture you guys call "race".
