2: If I allocate "Gratuitous Violence," will the explosion damage from enemies dying while affected by my bleeding be scaled with my global physical damage, or will it always be a flat 10%
1: The wiki page on Far Shot indicates that the damage is based on total travel distance, and specifically mentions that it includes the distance returning Spectral Throw projectiles have traveled. I'm not sure whether you mean Far Shot, the modifier than grants More projectile damage, or Longshot, the notable that grants Increased damage, but I think they both work the same way.

2: Yes, the damage is scaled by modifiers to global Physical damage, and Area damage. It isn't scaled by modifiers to Melee or Attack damage, since the explosion is Secondary damage. It also isn't scaled by support gems, since the explosion isn't from your skills.

Another is about "Smite" gem. It has melee part and area part. I found some information about area part. It does not considered as melee in case on-hit effects and so does not apply Fortify or rage by "Rage support" ("Shockwave Support" and etc). Does it means that area part does't have melee tag and not benefits from things like "Melee Physical Damage Support", "Ruthless Support" and "Disemboweling" from passive tree (Melee crit chance/multi")

this is a question about blade vortex and unleash. regarding the stacks

when i use unleash to get maximum stack it almost immediately drops down to 6 or 7
here is a video i captured of it

i am still leveling the character but i would like to know why the stacks drop down so fast

Every blade have independent duration. It is not refreshing when you are casting again - you just summon another blade.

Does anyone know how to scale damage of
explosion? Who is the source of damage? The player that applied curse or the one that killed enemy?
I was in a map and I may have accidentally summoned Animate Guardian using random junk gear that fell onto the floor. I couldn't see it because my loot filter had filtered it out so I never mouse-overed it, but I'm unsure whether my Animate Guardian is using the original set I had equipped it.

If I never moused over any items on the floor, does that mean I summoned my default Guardian, or does it not require you to mouse over items on the floor to summon one? Thanks!
here is an ice spear/ herald of ice/ elemental focus question

i am trying to give my ice spear totem Templar a better clear speed by adding herald of ice. in my 6 link if i remove the elemental focus and change it to another gem that increases elemental ailments would i be more likely to proc the freeze effect and then shatter mobs?

Mobs will be shattering more for sure but totems works kinda tricky with on-hit and on-kill effects.

Totems are casting spells like you will do, including every possible damage scaling mods so Herald of Ice mod "Cold Damage to Spells" will work. But Herald of Ice text says "If you shatter an enemy, they explode". And it actually means only you. So... No explosion...

Same for "Mirage Archer Support".

You can easily test it with Herald of Purity on low lvl mobs. It is got the same on-kill behavior with 100% chance to summon.
Is there a reason that the shaper helmet mod "Socketed Spells have +3% to Critical Strike Chance" does work with herald of ice and the gloves corruption "Spells have +0.8% to Critical Strike Chance" doesn't?

If i understand it correctly the only difference is that the helmet mod is local thanks to "Socketed" but everything else is exactly the same wording so both should work if i socket herald of ice in my helmet.
