GhazzyTV - Essence Drain & Contagion (or Bane/Soulrend) Trickster [SC/HC/Uber Elder/Shaper]

Any suggestions on how to improve my equipment for this build? current equipment in the spoilers:



As a heads up, I tend to not have the best aim in games like this, so I opted for the GMP to simultaneously compensate for that, as well as improve clear rate when coupled with the boots.

I played this build last league and i really enjoyed it, tried shaper for the first time ever and went in totally blind, got to stage 3 then rip ;D

The dmg really did feel underwhelming. I had ED 21/20 and all supportgems at 20/20 + empower lvl 4 and a +1 tabula + wither totem and vaal lightning trap up.

Now to the question.

What's the lowest tooltip dot dmg for shaper in your opinion?

Planning to use this build for flashback event, what are your thoughts on using the indigon helmet? Sounds like it would be a nice addition to end-game gear.

Hm.. well I would in your case with your preferences look into getting a +1 lvl of gems chest piece (shaped/corrupted tabula/skin of the loyal as examples, where a shaped chest would be optimal with life rolls).

Possibly look into the Indigon helmet if you can afford it and/or Impressence amulet and use Despair aura via blasphemy instead of the flask if you wish.

I haven't looked into the tooltip DPS for that tbh however, after a quick glance at your character you're lacking the Allelopathy gloves with Hinder jewels they will help TONS with damage output on single target.

If you still feel a lack of DMG then I can recommend looking into running a 2h staff with +2 or +3 lvl of gems (+2 chaos gems) for optimal boss DMG but your clear speed will suffer severly from this

Another option is to get the Indigon helmet which is super expensive in hardcore but is more available in the softcore leagues.

It's a great addition, though super expensive in hardcore which is one of the reasons I'm not displaying it in this guide as it is designed for leaguestarters & newer players.

This is going to be my go to for the flashback leage, God bless you exile!

Will play this build for the first time and as my league starter. Anybody got any useful advice specifically for league starter purposes? Would be very thankful.

One more thing, has ascendancy rework changed much in terms of which points to take as Trickster? Was it a nerf or buff? Also no point going for es/evasion shenanigans node right?

How should I adapt this build to use Indigon? I bought a cheap one for 50c and I don't think I am getting the most out of it. My tooltip ED dps is 50k. At most I can reach 75k dps before my mana can't keep up. I think I need to somehow increase my mana pool and mana regen.

Insane build ghazzy.

Minautor t16 down with that build.

1-85 in 12 hours.

Play carefully, specially as it's your first time with the build. It's not a tanky build so don't treat it that way.
Higher budget items like Indigon is very attractive as the guide is only showing a low budget approach it's good to know the options you have later as well :)

As you said yourself, getting high mana pool with better regen is in general the way you'd want to scale the build if you purchase the Indigon helmet. Anything from gear to skilltree can be adapted for it.
