GhazzyTV - Essence Drain & Contagion (or Bane/Soulrend) Trickster [SC/HC/Uber Elder/Shaper]

What do you all think of Aylardex for this build? At a certain point more mana doesn't increase eHP so do you think this would be a good replacement for a foible if you dont need more mana? I imagine the alternative would be to just drop mana nodes on the tree but I find the flat life/mana and +5% to mom to be pretty attractive, It would probably be pretty cheap +1 curse on too(though, foible would be as well, I'm guessing)

i played this a bit in the mayhem recently and found the belt bated breath while leveling, I found it rather useful, what's your opinion on it?

Yeah but I don't have the game knowlege or the time to get it, to invest in a char that might not get there and then to start a new one.;/ Luckly our lord and saviour Ghazzy has updated the build so now I'm actually excited for tomorrow.^^

Do you guys think wither totem is still going to be used against bosses with the introduction of Despair? I'm thinking about dropping wither totem and physically cursing the boss while using blight totem.

If you do play on dropping Wither totem, do keep in mind that Wither is not affected by the less curse effectiveness on bosses. Wither will still provide 90% increased damage taken against bosses, while the curse will "only" provide around 10% reduction in chaos resistance and slightly more for the increased damage component. This still results in much lower damage output than what a Wither totem would provide. Against guardians/Shaper, this difference will be even greater. I would suggest supplementing the build with a manual curse if of despair if you feel your damage is too low, but I would keep the Wither totem.

A max stack of 15 means we can drop one of the links for the totem. You could use this to fit the curse instead.

What's the point of getting the "Whispers of Doom" dual-curse node on the passive tree? Enfeeble is a curse, but Wither, Contagion and even Blight aren't. So where does the second curse come in?

Also, what's a good end-game health value to target?

I was really , really skeptical of this build so I tested it on my 81 shadow on standard. using about 100 chaos in gear I was able to solo uber lab (with a tabula rasa) and kill all guardians only dying to Chimera.

With skin of the loyal and empower your dps can literally almost double. I was caking t15 8 mod maps - but yes boss killing is slower than most "end game" builds.

The thing about this build is it requires VERY little currency investment AND you can do virtually ALL map mods. Super rippy t15 maps you have to sell for half the price you spent rolling it are no more. Corrupt a map with impossible mods? nope - you can do it all with this build at the price of slower boss kills.

I kill all t15/t16/uber lab with a tabula rasa and no blight gloves. This is by far the most cost effective build I have ever played in my 6 years of POE
