It takes a while to get a feel for what's high value and what's not.

Triple resistance (or double resistance with a free suffix) armor with either high life or high ES is worth evaluating especially if it also has high armor or high evasion.

For weapons I look for T2/T1 physical damage 155% increased physical damage or higher, with 30+ global crit multi, or 30%+ crit chance. If it's 300+ dps or better it's worth looking at.

For uniques, many are worth at most 1c and might not be worth your while trying to sell. A good loot filter will differentiate between common uniques that aren't worth much and higher value uniques (Neversink's does this).

To determine what your item is worth, compare the item you're looking at with similar items using poe.trade.

Another way to increase DPS (depending on how much you want to invest) is with the hidden potential jewel. You can get by with quite a few blues boosting DPS nicely.

A leveled decoy totem might also be of benefit to distract Izaro - trading off some DPS you'd get using wither for a bit more safety when he attacks the decoy instead of you. Along these same lines, mirror arrow can be used.

And if you want to make a bigger investment, Lightning Coil or Kaom's Heart can be used - but that's a pretty big outlay if you're only doing this to kill Izaro.

I'm working on Ancestral Warchief toon number 3 this league, LOL. I'm going triple-totem, Berserker for maximum DPS. I'm trying to figure out which Warchief toon to use for Guardian/Shaper kills - my triple-totem Chieftan can kill all the guardians albeit with a bit of a struggle. I'm hoping to find something that will make Shaper key farming a bit easier.

For Shaper, I hear that high DPS really helps - hence the Berserker toon.

Mathil always trys out a lot of toons each league, most of them non-meta. He prefers ranged but once in awhile he rolls melee. You might want to see if he has any toons that catch your fancy.

As others have replied, the only way to get this is to successfully corrupt three essences into four.

You'll probably get this done simply by running a lot of maps.

But I brute-forced this in under an hour by running Merciless Lunaris level 1 (enter via the front door, not the door leading to 2nd level) and making my way into the 2nd room. Usually there's one or two sets of Essence monsters in that room. If not, leave and reset; just repeatedly reset until you find a set that contains three essences and corrupt.

You should actually be able to do this much faster than I did because I was killing all the mobs anytime I found essences to build up an essence stash. If you just skip killing anything that doesn't contain 3 essences this shouldn't take more than 30 minutes or so max I'd say.

thanks a lot for this hint. I run maps as a monkey and had only 5 times a three essence mob and the corruption didn bring a 4 essence mob.
But lunaris should be much faster. Thats a really good idea.

As another question. why wrote serlet he would essence silk gloves. Has this anything to do with this build. He didnd answer my question :-)

There's quite a lot of questions/discussion going on so sometimes questions are overlooked and thus go unanswered.

At any rate, Serleth was just hoping for a lucky enchant to generate a pair of really high value gloves to sell.

There are so many things going on in POE, so many players doing things, that extremely unusual things happen all the time.

Trust me... it's all RNG. The reason you see unusual results with any frequency is that when they occur, people announce them - either extreme good or bad luck. The average result is almost never mentioned - and when it is, ho-hum, so-what.... it's ignored.

So unless you're trying to 6-link multiple items in a league, don't try to self 6-link; yes you could get lucky, but equally as well you might fail - pretty much ruining your experience for that league.

I recommend that:
If you need a 5 or 6 link, 6 socket not using Vorici - you'll be very unlucky to fail this. But if you just need to 6-socket one item, I'd use Vorici.

Next, 5-link on your own. Occasionally you'll get lucky and 6-link.

If not, stop.

From theat point on, just save fuses until you can 6-link using Vorici - it's a 20% premium to use Vorici - but the result is guaranteed.

OtOH, if you want to 6-link but don't play enough to save up enough fuses to 6-link using Vorici, then roll the dice. Hopefully you can purchase 2 of the items you want to 6-link - once you hit 5-links on one of the items, stop on that item - you now have a 5-link - and try to 6-link the 2nd item.

This is not true. You can find 4 Essence monsters in the wild. I found one yesterday, or maybe the day before. I am pretty sure I saved a screenshot. When I am back home from work I will check, and if I did I will post the image.

Until I can post my own image, here is someone's screenshot of a Corrupted 5 Essence monster. As corrupting can only add one more Essence it must have started as a 4.
