[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)

Hey guys,
Question got 5 link +2 bow, 7k cloud dps and 130 rarity which map range should i focus on for farming currency

I would initially focus on just "incidental" farming, which is to say "whatever you end up earning" as you level up to ~88-90 as you push the highest tier map you feel comfortable with.

bought today a uber atziri and uber lab run from a guy with a Ancestral Warchief build.
its amazing how fast he killed both. with the trash i had a chance to clear as fast as he did. but the bosses i died often he killed in seconds. i never saw such a fast boss kill speed.

with the essences. What did you guys do with them. I have only for the challenge used some to get the archievment and for the unid rare new items. But other then sell or collect i had no idea what to do with them. Any suggestions?

another problem is i have one char 90 near 91 and one 82 and NEVER had an envy essence. Is she so rare or is this essence only found in maps over tier 14. The highest maps i do are 13.

The third i have problems with awakening and grief fragments. did they have any drop restrictions?

one question i forgot. can i get 4 essence monster only per corruption or is there a possibility they have in a map 4 essences?

would be fine if anyone can help me with answers :-)

Re: Envy. Weird. Just strange RNG is all. Envy, Scorn, Misery & Dread are map-only. That's the only restriction, so with three characters, it's not *too* surprising you haven't seen one with all that time spent levelling to maps, but it's still odd.

Re: fragments. Yes, I believe both of those are T14+.

Re: 4-essence. Corruption-only. Corrupt tri-essence monsters for a chance to get quad.

thanks a lot. so its only envy what is strange and the other is normal.

I have some problems with uber lab and need some runs for enchant.
in lab i dont need mf. so i thought about the Essence of Envy (wich i dont found one till now) and craft 2 rings with first max life roll and then the increased chaos dmg with the envy (with the prefix cannot be changed.
So i would have a ring with max life and 30 to 34 with two rings 60 to 68 % increased chaos dmg and 158 life and some other things on the rings.

so i hope it will give a better life pool AND a big increase of the cloud dmg. Or is this mod not influencing the cloud dmg. I hope it works like increased chaos dmg on jewels. or is this wrong ?

You are correct, running with MF in lab is not needed. Haveing a few pieces of gear ready for a swap is a good idea. It makes sense to evaluate your Rings, Boots, and Amulet for the switch.

Essences do not work that way. It was determined to be too powerful to mix the Metamod crafting options and Essences together. "Our solution is that Essences will ignore master metamods when rolling an item." Development Post. Using the Envy Essence is still a good idea, you just need to also hit a life mod, or an open Prefix to craft life.

And just to directly answer the question, yes the %Chaos damage from the Essence works just like the %Chaos damage from jewels.

Ziggy did it this way. he showed a item craft with prefixes cannot be changed and the essence did not change the life roll?!

As others have replied, the only way to get this is to successfully corrupt three essences into four.

You'll probably get this done simply by running a lot of maps.

But I brute-forced this in under an hour by running Merciless Lunaris level 1 (enter via the front door, not the door leading to 2nd level) and making my way into the 2nd room. Usually there's one or two sets of Essence monsters in that room. If not, leave and reset; just repeatedly reset until you find a set that contains three essences and corrupt.

You should actually be able to do this much faster than I did because I was killing all the mobs anytime I found essences to build up an essence stash. If you just skip killing anything that doesn't contain 3 essences this shouldn't take more than 30 minutes or so max I'd say.
