Aura Reservation and Reduced Mana Support Gem Change
What this means for the vast majority of people: Less auras in a world where defense is already hard to come by, or less points spent on stuff you WANT because you have yet MORE points you NEED to make builds function.
What this means for the super rich: No change. What's the fucking point? Do you think people are NOT going to still stack auras? My hybrid summoner in beta now has 6 mana free when running 3 auras, down from ~100. My choices to make the build function are: drop a defensive aura (not going to happen, elements is necessary for summons and discipline is necessary for me), drop an offensive aura (yay, going slower is FUN!), find a level 4 enlighten (this lifetime? not likely). Where is the fun? Whoopty fucking doo, I have 2 extra gem slots with nothing to put in them. Awesome. |

I really hope enlighten becomes a more common gem. I have played to lvl 80ish twice and I have never seen an enlighten gem drop. Are they currently only coming from lvl 72+ maps or something?

"The fact that people are so frequently discussing enlighten even in this thread should show GGG how drastic of a mistake this is. People don't give a fuck about gaining the gem slot - they want the auras. That people are simply going to move on to another much rarer and more difficult gem option proves just how dumb the change is for achieving the stated goal. Auras are good - auras are strong. If your aim is to increase gem slots, drop the cost of auras to what they would be with high level reduced mana; don't drop them to where you still can't run 3 appropriately. God, stop changing existing items. I don't want to have to read every single thread in the forums to avoid getting ripped off by people.
Cool game, but seriously, you guys screwing with existing items is just shoving a giant dildo in people's asses who aren't amazingly up to date and informed. And, it is rewarding people who are cutthroat profiteers. Here is an idea. Put some thought into items before you fucking release them then let them be. I never want to buy, own, or sell anything because of the fear that once again I am unaware of some change to an EXISTING item that will drastically alter it's value. Great idea, everyone that plays this game knows that behind multistrike and spell echo reduced mana is the most desirable gem in the game. That being said, I hope you raise the attribute requirements on both gems or people will now slot both reduced mana and enlighten for an op combination. That or make it so that you can only apply one gem somehow. Being able to equip 2 reduced mana reservation gems sounds game-breaking and very scary.
I wonder if Hillock-Senpai will notice me when I go to town??

It is seriously time to ask who is making balancing decisions, this is just dumb. Really dumb. How this made it past the initial drawing board and onto a manifesto is honestly baffling.
