I don't understand why some people think gear should not matter in PvP. It makes you stronger/more effective in PvE, think of it from the other person's perspective. He obv put time and invested currency into giving himself the ultimate edge. If you have BiS gear why should some noob be able to beat you with garbage items?

The only people who care enough to duel, care enough to over-gear their duelers. The rest of us eventually ran into the same thing you did when we were only trying to complete leo's daily, then gave up altogether.

No. Deaths in PvP matches or the Sarn arena do not send HC chars to SC.

first off, this should go to pvp discussion, where a bunch of people have already been whining about how pvp requires gear.


You made a character with self found gear and went up against someone who has prepared and bough gear from other people and made some effort to gear up? Did you expect to win knowing how important gear is in this game and further knowing how bad your gear is compared to what you know other people are using?


ps. 800 life is extremely low for a pvp character as well.

Bloodlines? Wand? Sounds like someone was testing a wand build there, and you got in the way. Of course it 2-shots newbs. Builds that are closer to the meta oneshot newbs.


If you have a Leo's daily that requires to kill an opponent in 1 on 1 or do it without flasks or something like that you can always ask your opponent to let you win one round. There are usually nice people there, they will let you. If you won't kill yourself on their retaliation gems anyway.

I enjoyed PvP heaps in D2.

I used a necro with a cast on death poison nova and fire golem.

I don't think I ever won a match, but I killed every single opponent when they killed me. Fun times.

I haven't played PvP in POE yet but are there any builds like my poison nec to get the pros raging?

I really do not understand the "PvP at lvl 28", when you seem to need high level masters to craft good enough gear to get past the first round of PvP missions. Maybe you need quality gems too, making the level 28 cap pretty... Dumb?
