My bad, should've clarified that the socket won't give as much of either those stats.

If it's a good damage boost I'd pick damage, life otherwise.

Sorry for my lack of answers, will do that once i'm done with the update.

The new tree is causing me a real headache, that templar area change is exactly 1 node too much.
Currently stuck between three potential trees and can't decide, so i'd like to hear everyones opinion:

Would you prefer more life, more damage or a bit of both through another jewel socket?

Hey Enki. Did you see my level 100 tree I posted? I was able to get basically the same tree with the same number of points. Which area are you having issues with?

Edit: Here it is

The templar area is the only real pathing issue, but the way I have it here is basically the same as your original tree. I mentioned in my post the raw stat changes we get from it.

Yeah, that's more or less the "more life" option, with a few small changes.

To clarify on it more - if applied on my current char, the "more life" option comes out at 5852 life and 1.23 million shaper dps, the "more damage option" has 5521 life and 1.42 million shaper dps and has a really great progression, but loses chaos res from tree. The "+1 jewel socket" option has 5419 life and 1.39 million shaper dps (with a gg jewel), but loses 1% life regen, can't cap our strength needs through passives and has a really bad progression, which results in having to go through lots +10 int nodes in high levels.

I think I prefer the more life option. Seems like the most well rounded.
In order of preference.

More Life - since we are kind of squishy in some situations, more life seems best.
More damage - better pathing is better, but wouldn't want to loose the chaos res as well as life.
+ Jewel Socket - loses too much

More life seems to be a better baseline for the build. Others can tweak their builds as needed.
I very carefully followed this thread for all of incursion. There is post after post of people asking how to increase their single target DPS. There aren't many posts asking how to increase their HP by 400. Based on that, I think users are looking to squeeze all they can out of the build with raw power. FWIW, I vote for the highest DPS build with good survivability.

I trust the shield charge/other defenses to do their thing like they did in 3.3.
I am voting for more life!
I also had no problems with survivability this league, more with stacking enough damage.
If both options are viable though, it can depend alot on the actual gear you get. So having both options noted on the start page if you are not sure is really ok.

Otherwise: There is probably no "better" choice if you do not plan to play hardcore, so just go for the one you like better. I would prefer the one with higher attack/cast speed if that differs too.
