Static Strike

Glacial Hammer has built-in chance to freeze.
Not sure were you want to find sufficient crit for your Static Strike Freezes. But as "crit better everything else", it's probably also the same here.

So you are trading "Glacial Hammer + Prolif gemslot" for "Static Strike + 3dragons helm slot".
Not sure if worth it.
But you can go for it, sure.

Well, I get 20% chance to freeze from the tree, + twice as many hits, and I can add an extra damage support and use more weapons.
I didn't do it, stayed with GC so far, but should I find a 3 Dragons, I'll try it.
Would save me the Hrimsorrow Gloves, in any case.
The skill currently deals 110% + 60% damage to a single target, I daresay with 10% off one of those values and +1 mana cost it'd still be pretty competitive.

Isn't a "no" better than an ignore?

This skill does wonders in conjunction with Cast on Melee Kill. I can just hit *any* mob, the explosion still counts a melee kill and triggers the cast. I LOVE it!
I previously used Lightning Strike for this, but one problem was to actually target the mob which is about to die, and also even if the projectiles killed something, I don't think that was considered a melee kill.

However, LS certainly is utterly useless now. Instead of introducing loads of new skills every major patch, I'd be happy to see some of the less useful ones improved or completely reworked (like LS, Rejuvenation, Shield Charge needs some work too).

This is an exciting news for my hypothesized Static Strike + Ice Nova + Elemental Equilibrium Character(maybe Scion). May make it after some farming with my FP character in the new league...
Two-handed - Mop
Dual Wield - Slippers
One-handed & Shield (close combat) - Brush & Basin
One-handed & Shield (ranged) - Hair Dryer & Mirror
Main-hand & Off-hand (evil witch) - Sponge & Soap
I'm currently using a block build with Soul Taker, and I've replaced my Double Strike w/ Melee Splash with this skill. Oddly, I've found what I consider to be a bug. If you combine Static Strike with Physical to Lightning on my build...you do 0 physical damage. Thus, I'm forced to ask the question, "Am I getting any leech based on physical being converted to lightning, or has all my leech disappeared?"
With 100% physical -> elemental conversion, you do not leech anymore.
Unless you use a leech gem, that is.
Or get elemental leech from items.

Static Strike naturally Converts 60% Phys to Lightning, and the Physt'o'Lightning Support converts another 50%. 60+50 = 110% Converted, scales down to 100%. Not sure what else you expected, really? :)
(Warlord's Mark also works)
Is critical strike the only thing that is "passing on" to the explosion ?

What about Shock/Freeze/Ignite chances (crit independent) ? Are they rolled separately ? Any Dev can clarify this ?
"Good luck on your naps Exile"
On-Hit effects are always rolled separately per Hit.

I've tested the leech, and it doesn't seem to work, but I wasn't sure at the time if the tooltip was bugged. I wasn't sure about the order of resolve between the conversion and leech, but I suppose the conversion takes place first before factoring leech. It just made me have to swap out phys-to-light with melee physical. I needed a bit of physical damage to get a bit of survivability from it.

Oh well...
So is the Aoe Physical too or just elemental ?
It's an Attack. Does your weapon deal Physical Damage?
