Hmm... Suspicion confirmed.

So what do you think -- time to augment the Max Block Templar with poison skills and/or minions in 3.8? :-)

Since the game keeps crashing on PS4 and I want to play Hardcore I made a Baron Maxblock Gladiator with zombies. It still died in white maps lol

I had 60/60 block but no surrender/aegis as these items never appear on market (hc community too small)

What about Glacial Hammer? Would that work?

Not as well because the AOE is not built in so you lose a support slot. Lower DPS, slower clear time.

There is a unique jewel Winter Burial

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Winter_Burial

(10-15)% increased Cold Damage
With at least 40 Strength in Radius, Glacial Hammer deals
Cold-only Splash Damage to surrounding targets
With at least 40 Strength in Radius, 25% of Glacial
Hammer Physical Damage Converted to Cold Damage

U can equip two of them and then you don't need melee splash.

Reckless Defense jewel seems to have been nerfed. It doesnt apply 20% of attack block to spells like it says in the guide.

You can try that but two jewel sockets are at least 4 skill points, that's not nothing. :)

It's still good enough with 4 spell block. I use two of 'em.
Just wanted to say thank you for making the guide, this was the first build I ever made. 5-6 years ago when I started playing PoE. I've come a long way since then and started making my own guides.
Just again stumbled across this guide again and it brought back memories :D
This was my first character and my first HC character, thank you.

Uber setup updated with foil based sword and associated dex nodes.
you dont use oils?
I never got far in this game, still very brand new with no understanding of anything, especially since I only ever played a few days every few years.

But looking at this guide, it seems like an interesting build to play and actually maybe get stuff done and progress in the game.

The only issue I find, is that there isn't an actual 'Guide' to follow.

Example being where do I put my passive points at level 1? level 10? 20? You have a progression 'build', but you noted it's out of date and wouldn't work, and the full 110 tree doesn't give any hint to where to put points first, when to branch out, or anything.

If I was max level and could just fully respect, that tree would be useful. As a level one new player? It's jibberish mess where I misplace 1 skill, I'd have to delete and remake the entire character over, or else be gimped until I find a respec orb to fix said mistake.

It's a character, but how do I get from lvl 1 to that character. For a 'guide', there isn't very much 'guiding' involved. It's a whole lot of 'Do whatever, like this' without any context to what the 'like this' is, why it's used, how it can be used, nor any examples in the entire guide of what NOT to do.

It's just a dump of information advance users might understand, but someone who has played very little and looking for a more passively easy to play character to get into the game, I can't understand most of the information you're giving.
