I talked myself into going pathfinder earlier. And I'm very happy with it, even just entering cruel with just that first 2 points.
The new flasks go a LONG way into making it super viable and fun right from the start. Natures adrenaline 15% move speed, 20% attack speed while using a flask. (this is basically onslaught without the name(meaning it stacks with onslaught..) I would argue this is more useful then any of the other 2 point nodes for new players. minor 5% flask effect, 8% flask duration. By itself this minor node is near useless, especially now. If going pathfinder, you will probably definitely want druidic rite(20% flask duration/charges gained), and primal spirit(20% charges gained). Since you get these two nodes, and likely essance sap as well, this does mean, you don't need to run a mana potion at all. 2 healing, 3 utility pretty quickly into the game. I have no idea if this 40% charge gain affects master surgeon. Total 15% flask effect asc, and 16%asc+20%pass=36% duration http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Utility_flask The new flasks are important. First a reminder. "during a flask", only is while the flask is active. healing and mana flasks STOP being active as soon as you hit 100%. so, the utility flasks are key. (obviously taste of hate, aztiri, etc late game godlike. but talking normal, cruel, and low gear level atm.) #1 Stibnite flask. 5s duration, 30 charges, 10 per use. this one is GREAT for pathfinder. long 5s duration, roll +duration on it. the low charge total means it refills fast, and can be used 3 times by default. I have one, it lasts 8s per use. its basically use is +100% evasion, which is pretty low early on. I go from 42% to 49% evade with it. (jade flask gives me 79% evade.) Jade is a flat 3000, while stibnite scales with gear. Stibnite ALSO drops a smokeground effect. which gives blind to anything in it. Mixed feelings on that. As an evade/dodge ranger, don't really need more evade. so ok, another layer. but real concern is spells, and resolute tech. This is a nice defensive addition, and great for its huge uptime. should be near 100%, right from the start. granite or basalt flask. granite flask is 4s duration, 60charges, 30 use. 3000 armor Basalt is 5s duration, 60charges 40 use. 20% additional phsy DR, and 20% melee phys reflect. I think one of these is a must. this gives use the phys DR missing on an evade/dodge ranger. Granite probably the better choice with the 2 uses per 60, even with shorter duration. quartz. quartz is 10% dodge attacks, and 10% spell dodge. and phasing. 4s duration, 60charges, 30 on use. Another great choice. dodge and spell dodge goes right into phase acro. Doesn't provide that DR when the dodge/evade fails, but does add into that total miss right on top. use this instead of granite, or stibnite. Rumi's concoction granite flask is the obvious choice end game. 3000 armor, 20-30% block, 10-15% spell block. http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Rumi%27s_Concoction Immortality in a flask for a pathfinder. Offense. Silver flask gives onslaught. 20% attack speed, and runspeed. 5s duration, 60charges, 40 use. Good duration, high charge use. 40% attack speed, 35% run speed with natures adrenaline (Avatar of the chase with raider is only 30%as,30%rs, granted ad, and evade as well) I use this atm. its ok. constantly up in large packs. drops too fast outside of them. will likely swap to diamond when I get one. Sulpher flask. 40% increased damage. 4s duration. 60 charges, 20 on use. 3 uses per. thats good. but the 40% damage is just adding into your other damage. ehh. high uptime is great. can use it 3 times as bargain quicksilver out of combat. actual killing power increase probably not great. diamond flask. crit strike chance is lucky. 4s duration, 40c, 20 on use. Newly buffed. less charges to fill and less to use. down to 40/20 from 80/80. huge. and even up to 4s. Diamond is the clear winner for offense imho. 2 uses, fills up faster, increases crit chance by rolling twice. So I think you will want: healing, healing, stibnite, granite, diamond flask, while leveling. Last edited by Casia#1093 on Mar 7, 2016, 10:58:29 AM

So I was thinking about Powerful Precision + Drillneck, isn't this a pretty good combo?
|
|
" Yup. Powerful precision works like point blank, so the pierce bonus will never get below 50%. So either go for 50% extra pierce chance from passives or from gem :) |

HI! thx for guide... but...
" idem for GEMS links : For ICE SHOT there is : LA/GMP/CHAIN/PTL/WED (PPAD) For my build, can i replace this by : IS/GMP/CHAIN/WED/Cold Pen (Add Cold) ??? |

Thanks for the build and loot filter. Just wanted to ask for an update of the Windripper build. I've been super lucky so far and found Windripper and Voltaxic after buying a 250+dps pdps bow. If you could provide a scion tree that would be great too as I went assassin raider but if not I'm sure I can adjust the ranger tree.

Hey NeverSink, thanks for the guide.
I just rolled as a scion and will become a assassin-raider on the new ladder. Quick question. I just invested into buying a drillneck and a 20%quality pierce. Should I A) get the pierce cluster along with it, B) just use the gem, or C) was it a waste to invest in the 20% quality gem and just use the pierce cluster. Thanks a lot! |

With how cheap drillnecks are this league, would you go for powerful precision or still stick with far shot on a drillneck+pierce setup?
