And I read through the thread when I can, mostly on lunch breaks and whatnot during work, played Ranger till 97 last patch using this tree as a basis with my own modifications, and have had many people message/PM me before asking for advice.

I just chose 2.0 to work on another project (SWT) since I'm still grinding up to Legacy Kaom's and I don't wanna start retesting links until I have some potential upgrades. Has been interesting looking at what other people are doing, takes me maybe 10 minutes to scan through the thread when I'm bored.

And let's face it, if I come to the thread all the time and wanna make a post, I'll do it :)

So I am kinda new to this game. I would consider myself as a beginner even I got one 80+ char. It's because there is still so much that I dont know about this game.

The build might be very beginner friendly, but this guide isn't (at some parts). Don't get me wrong, I bet there are tons of work in this guide and I am very happy to have this but I do have some problems to understand all things correctly.

My mainproblems are the gems. I dont really know what to do :O

So basicly I choose one main (aoe-like) attack? <-- Tornado Shot
Adding to this I choose one singletarget attack? <-- Puncture
Also I use one CWDT setup? <-- Immortal Call
and one COH setup? <-- Splitarrow + Assassins Mark
Also Auras <-- Hatred + Herald of Ash

Correct so far?

More questions on the way:

Do I use Tornado Shot and Puncture all the time? Or do I need like two weapon sets?
How high should I level COH and CWDT Gems? I know that sometimes its better to stop at a certain gemlevel?
How should I link up the auras?
Where should I add Blood Rage and do I cast it myself?

I've made a plan for me what to aim for but I have no idea if this would work out. I hope that someone could tell me if this would work out:

Weapon (AoE):
Tornado Shot→Greater Multiple Projectiles→Physical Projectile Attack Damage→Faster Attacks→Physical to Lightning→Weapon Elemental Damage

Chest (Single Target):
Puncture→Physical Projectile Attack Damage→Slower Projectiles→Increased Critical Strike Multiplier→Faster Attacks→Weapon Elemental Damage

Gloves (CoH-Setup):
Split Arrow→Cast on Hit→Chain→Assassins Mark→Faster Attacks

Boots (CWDT-Setup):
Cast when damage taken→Immortal Call→Increased Duration

Helmet (Auras):
- Hatred
- Herald of Ash
- Blood Rage

Offensive: lack of links, bow is weak (just 190 pdps), and you took TS which goes in pair with gmp by default which stoles socket and lowers damage to make it worse. Also try to respec some crit chance into %phys damage, you need to have anything to be multiplied at first.

Defensive:, i dunno if i saw well but you probably have literaly nothing against phys dmg (ele dmg bow in 2nd slot won't defend you against mobs, also new ondars isn't particulary good idea in this case).
These are 2 major issues for my shallow knowledge.
Let's better wait for someone more reliable and less lazy than me mayby.

P.S. Example of working ("working" rather) setup is in my profile (non-private). I'm scared a bit of that small spiders, normal since they hit like trucks, but overall I do well. I did rare residence map without dyining today, but close calls were appearing twice per second roughtly.

also why no cwdt? for example cwdt+IC+inc.duration+enfeeble is neat last line of defence, espessialy if you're getting end. charges from somewhere (uniqes, endu on manual, warlords mark)

You have 5 skills on your gloves, not 4; probably drop faster attacks there. I'd also suggest putting your blood rage on the same gear item as your CWDT. BR does not CWDT; but by putting it there you give it increased duration.

Hey guys, I have a question. In the guide, i've reread through everything and couldn't find the answer to my question. I've followed the build very religiously, but i'm running Infractem and Drillneck with Thief's torment. Should I be using a piercing gem as well to maximize my damage or should I have other priorities? Also does Infractem grant 100% pierce bonus which in turn makes a huge damage boost up with Drillneck, or does it not work that way?

I'm not the person you're replying to, but...

A lot of factors combine to result in your DPS on PoE.
I'm not playing the exact build in the OP: I'm a scion for one, and I've got my own tree. But all physical bow chars are pretty similar.
With a 340 DPS/8.6 crit bow my TS was 63k with 5 frenzy and 4 power charges. With a 525 DPS/9.4 crit bow it's 105k.

I appreciate that 'get better gear' isn't very useful advice in a vacuum. How about you post your gear and tree so we can give you some more helpful advice?
