Can this be done as primarily armor instead of evasion? Playing HC and evasion just feels so rippy. Infact I did just RIP to a unique rakano in kaoms, and felt like I probably would have survived if i had decent phys reduction instead of evasion.

so yeah, how is it with armor?

I'm in middle of pimping my ice golem and:

+gmp - it got nicely AoEish and I decided to keep it


+ chance flee - works, but seems kinda weak

+hypotermia & ice bite - worse than it seemed it would be, besides I don't need golem to apply status aliments, as I do it faster and covering more area.
+dmg supports in general - all make it slightly less useless as fighter, nothing worth mentioning.


I run out of chromes meanwhile and ended at: gmp+culling strike+iiq+minion life, but I feel I could pimp it bit more. Also mf isn't my priority until I will feel bit more sturdy. Has any1 got some ideas? Life Leech to longer its life span mayby? Or blind for example? Also mayby fortify will keep him alive for bit longer as this mental figts mostly melee?

The biggest problem is that the build is almost entirely in the dex part of the tree, so you're not getting many STR nodes. Getting enough green sockets on an armor chest for a 6L is likely to be hard too.

The biggest problem is that the build is almost entirely in the dex part of the tree, so you're not getting many STR nodes. Getting enough green sockets on an armor chest for a 6L is likely to be hard too.

So it isn't about just IR but real armor base?

I thought about hybrid gear, if you taken enough* of that eva/arm nodes around duelist you'd have, well, some armor after *1/2. Better than nothing, plus granite flasks with +xx% more armor and you have that say, 40% reduction on top of evasion and dodge. Plus 3 endu ch, AA and you're quite sturdy. Also many hybrid uniq chests are pretty decent def-wise - Lighting Coil, Bellys or D. Defiance

*enough equals all of them, plus most likely 1 or 2 additional jewels with arn/eva. Or taking stuff separately, but that seems not economical

Looking forward to the new windripper guide. I'm currently a pretty standard life-based crit split arrow/frenzy build but looking for something potentially out of the box.

Regardless, I was hoping I could get some help with my gear, could you take a look at my items and see which ones I should be swapping please? Id really appreciate some new item suggestions.

All your gear that has life rolls on has low rolls for life, and low evasion rating.
Unique belt is the prime candidate for upgrading, try to swap it for a rare leather belt. It should be easy to upgrade that, the rest might be a bit more expensive. If you can make up the resists there, you can swap your boots to Atziri's Step.
Consider using rares with high life and evasion instead of Rat's Nest and Maligaro's until you have better gear overall.
You didn't link your rings and amulet but they should also have 70+ life.

Self-cast Enduring Cry.
Add a curse to your CWDT: Enfeeble or Warlord's Mark, or Temporal Chains as you happen to have a green slot.

That 4-Link for Blink Arrow is basically completely wasted imo, try putting some Vaal skills instead, I like Vaal Grace a lot for fighting bosses and opening boxes, you can also put in a Golem if you can be bothered to keep it up. Keep Blink Arrow but don't use any supports for it.

Keep an eye out for jewels with Life % + anything that increases your damage (crit chance, multi, %physical damage, AS with bows, Projectile damage, etc...) or leech.
