Run anti-clockwise against Vaal's, the ball lightning spell always shoots anti-clockwise so if you follow the movement you will be less likely to be hit. Get both Vaal's on low life at the same time so the agro phase of the last one is as short as possible. Always move, never stand still except when its safe to shoot. Try to do as much damage as possible in the beginning when they activate, use

" I'd recommend to run at least 1 topaz flask. (shock removal/surgeon) Use Blink arrow or smoke trap to have another failsafe escape. Move counterclockwise as it was mentioned, also never kill them at once. Kill minions for flask charges. It's mostly about learning to evade the balls, once you'll become more proficient at it, the fight becomes much more managable. I've done uber with 16k TS DPS, so as long as you're OK at dodging, you should be fine. Please don't PM me ingame with filter/guide questions, post them on the forum, after reading the FAQ. We shoot, things die. -Crit multipliers of 550% with the tree and gems alone. so what confuses me is, why am i so far off of the target with tree and gems alone, not even taking into consideration the fact that i have not only additional crit chance and multi on gear, but from tree as well since im a higher level than the core requires? is it because 55%/550% doesn't happen from the core alone, but at like level 97 when you can branch out into far more crit based nodes? i guess that would make sense. or maybe in order to achieve that 550% crit multi you need to sacrifice a lot of crit chance on tornado shot (IE, I'd drop from 61% using critical strikes gem, to 47% using crit multi gem) it's not a big deal really, my dmg is quite nice, just trying to figure it out and i would love to be able to get another 100%+ crit multi without dropping under 50% crit chance. The guide was made before a patch that nerfed crit multi in the skill tree and on the gem, it's probably not updated on that part. What is your dps with crit multi gem compared to crit chance gem? Remember that power charges gives 50% crit chance pr. charge, but not crit multi.

" oh ok well if those numbers are from 1.2 that would explain why im SO FAR OFF lol. my dps with crit multi is like 12k and with crit chance gem instead its only 11.5k and tbh i think having ~15% crit chance is better than higher crit dmg cuz i blow things up anyway on crits, so id rather just crit more often if things are melting either way. and i never get power charges....with 93 mana left after 3 auras, 5l tornado shot costing like 24 mana, and even 3% mana leech on gear, it's really hard to afford to attack after casting assassins mark lol D: |
