[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

got some upgrades, next up is 6l harbinger and then im p much done (other than maybe buying better rolls idk)

the two stone ring was only 2 exalts, the amulet was 15c, and the S&D were 5 exalts (THEY CAME WITH THREE RED SOCKETS LOL)

just out of curiosity, my crit chance is 37% with lioneyes (5% base) so if i got a harbinger with ~8% base would my crit chance shoot up a lot (towards 50% hopefully) or would it be a smaller buff until i get a few more levels in my 20% level 17 inc crit strikes

Note to self: Don't ever move stuff in your inventory with your main gear off.

Was checking to see if a belt I got would raise my DPS (It wouldn't) and I had an almost full inventory so I had to move some stuff around to make it all fit... accidently Corrupt'd my Doryani's Invitation into a Rare :\

*Sigh* Now I gotta shell out for another before I can run maps again.

How is everyone fitting curse on hit into their builds? I read the update stating "If you don't have a curse on hit setup and aren't running assassin's mark you're doing it wrong." I'm just not seeing how to fit this into a build and use it effectively.

If you use HoT - you can try HoT + CoH + Assasin's mark.

Else try most popular version -> Frenzy + GMP + CoH + Assasin's mark (frenzy and power charges. Only if you have high pierce chance with drillneck and pierce nodes from tree) or Split Arrow + Chain + CoH + Assasin's mark (only power charges, for build without pierce)

don't worry, it's absolutely not needed. Here's my setup for my 4Ls:

better endurance charges control, much longer IC than with the usual 4L RRRR cwdt setup.
Ranger builds list: /917964
When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch?
If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart...

Hello!
First of all, thanks to Neversink for awesome guide. I love this build a lot but I've been wondering lately how can I improve my performance.

Change out pierce with crit multi gem, multi mod the bow with crit chance and flat phys dmg, get an amulet with life, crit, crit multi, flat phys, change out added fire with power charge on crit gem, get a Rustic Sash belt for more damage, get diamond rings with flat phys, attack speed, accu, res , life.
I would also consider speccing out of the DoT nodes, I tried it and it felt underwhelming.
I would also try and spec out of the mana leech nodes and c if the 2% u got on the ring will be enough, then u can use the 3 nodes on some damage or crit nodes f.ex.

Thank you for suggestions!

Now guys dark lord Cthulhu won't take you if you don't run assassins mark. If you're at the point where you can clear uber-atziri, I'm sure you've figured out how to play this well enough to not need to follow every single thing you read in a guide :P

Assassins mark simply provides a huge DPS boost. If you can't clear a pack COMPLETELY with 2-3 shots (same for bosses), it's very likely a good idea to cast AM first, you'll win time this way. It follows the same philosophy as drillneck, "decrease time required to clear packs".

Obviously this strategy is micro-intensive, however so is casting vaal haste and flasks.

Now I could go all math on you and give you prove that it provides at least a DPS boost of 30% with a crit chance of 40%+, but eh, you'll figure it out on your own
Please don't PM me ingame with filter/guide questions, post them on the forum, after reading the FAQ.

Great guide, loved to finally be able to play a Bow Ranger (didn't play for 1 year, last LA one kinda sucked :)!
I'm glad to see you still update this guide, but why is there so much about Drillneck now and you never ever mention the +1 Arrow Quivers? Is there a reason? Just wanted to ask, because I'm still not sure what to use, even tho I've read the info some pages ago.

If you have legacy +1 Arrow Quiver with 50+ crit mult - use it. Otherwise Drillneck looks better (IMHO)

I understand that going autopilot makes for faster gameplay but I prefer safety over that, so I safecast the curse ;).

would you guys 6l this bow or save up for something better?

regarding assassins mark i dont have the slots on my gear to run it with a cast on hit type deal (puncture is the only thing i could drop but its too good vs bosses) but i cant even afford to cast it manually because i only have like 93 mana remaining with 3 auras XD

unless of course i find a huge pack, curse, wait a second to recover just enough mana, then hopefully get enough mana back if the pack is big enough to spam over and over. idk only 3% leech feels rough almost makes me wanna get 2% on the tree again XD
