block chance reduction gem nerfed by 10% across the board

This is certainly unexpected. It seems to directly target LLD. I wonder what triggered this change.

meh. They better reduce the mana multiplier if there is this big of nerf to the gem. 125% increased mana cost for 14% block pen at 20q is way too much.

WTF, this change really made be annoyed. So now the only viable to counter to block and aegis abusers will be sword once again, other melee's will just fade away. May I ask why this change was made?

BLOCKS only real counter are swords(with or without gem)
BLOCK will now once again be op vs other builds

Sword is the problem, not the gem so why not just remove 10% from the tree and not the gem itself: Suggested by Pigbrother

With this change swords will still have their 87% block reduced while other builds got their 34% at 20/20, changing the gem and not the skill tree is just retarded imo as sword-users wont really feel the difference where other builds vs block will, and once again aegis users will appear more often and way to hard to counter

Keep in mind they may have removed the block pen sword nodes. Sword block pen was:

1. Messing class diversity because only rangers (and duelist sorta) had access to those nodes in LLD
2. Messing with weapon diversity because swords were stronger than other types

I agree that the change seems to have come out of absolutely nowhere to the gem itself, but atleast if the sword pen nodes get removed then every class and build type will be on even footing in terms of how much they can penetrate.

Well that problem is with aegis not the rest of pvp. If aegis didn't exist then my point would of been valid. (and it is for LLD) Sadly HLD is a nightmare to balance because of stuff like legacy.

Removing the sword block pen nodes? Could you link to that? It's strange they would make this change in combination with removing those.
