[3.0] How to Flicker. Two Handed Weapon Edition!
Thanks for sharing the build, I'm trying to forge a slayer according to this guildline. Here is the question. When it comes to the physical DPS, since Starforge Infernal Sword is even superior to Atziri's Disfavour Vaal Axe, why it is the latter that is regarded as the best two-handed weapon for this build? Hope for your help and thanks again :)

Because Starforge prevents you from dealing elemental damage and there are so many things in this build that increase your DPS by adding huge chunks of elemental damage (added fire damage support, hatred, taste of hate) that Starforge's base physical damage can't compensate and thus it isn't even a option.

What do you think about these gems in a 6L Atziri's disfavour: Flicker strike/ Multistrike/ Melee physical damage/Physical to lightning/ Weapon elemental damage/ Added fire damage. I don't know if I should switch added fire damage for fortify or keep it like that. Thanks :)

I definitely prefer the fortify because it is a big boost to your survivability. Also scaling elemental damage that much (when there are other options) is something that i don't like to do in a build that has no elemental penetration, because it's a paper dps increase and nothing more due to the elemental resistances of the monsters, but maybe that's just me ^^

Flicker Strike is viable with Dual wield?
|
|
Viable in this build or viable in general?
In this build - no it's not, it's after a two-handed weapon build so you kind of need ... you know ... a two-handed weapon. As for dual wielding flicker strike in general - i honestly don't see a point to it. When you use flicker while dual wielding you'll just alternate weapons - so besides the basic dual wield bonuses (10% more Attack Speed while Dual Wielding, 15% additional Block Chance while Dual Wielding, 20% more Attack Physical Damage while Dual Wielding) which of course are nice but nothing more, there isn't really a point going dual wield. So i'd say this - personally, unless a new flicker strike related unique weapons are introduced to the game i would never, and i repeat NEVER go for a dual wield flicker build, as it is simply inferior to all other available options.
