ELE LIGHTNING STRIKE - ALL T16s, Shaper, Uber Atziri, HOGM, Chayula, Elder

Well Duhh (on my part---sorry). Had not looked at that in a while (thought it was old and you had revised several times). Which prompts my final question about gear (since they are going to obliterate the tree tomorrow). Looks as if you've dropped most uniques (Abyssus, Bino's, Belly, and Darkray) correct?
I wonder if you can run this as league starter for HC?

Hmm, not sure if you getting mixed up buddy - I've never used Abyssus, Bino's, Belly or Darkray on this build. Maybe you are referring to a different build?

Hi bud, unfortunatley I didn't design this for HC - if you want to run it on HC you'll have to make some customizations to make it tanky to your liking (i.e. drop damage and get more life and add more defense mechanisms).
Hi, can this build be for the league start?
Thoughts on an Ascendant version of this?
I was thinking Deadeye + Slayer, with a little more focus on hp nodes, grab VP (with overleech and nearby nodes), but I'm wondering if they lower amount of dodge/evade is too harsh.
Would you still use melee damage on full life if you don't go vaal pact?
Is vaal pact recommended?

Separately on Deadeye I ran a quick check this morning in Path of Building, basically:
- unspec Raider
- spec Deadeye - Gathering Winds, Far Shot, Ricochet, and Rupture
- unspec frenzy charges and uncheck use Frenzy charges
- Tick "Have Tailwind" - and set to max by adjusting no. of times a skill has been used recently
- Tick enemies is bleeding for Rupture
- Checked the DPS and then multiplied by 1.1 x 1.3 to get the buffs for Ricochet and Far Shot
- Came out to about 50k higher DPS than my Raider

Now I didn't get a chance to check this but - with the 4 points from unspeccing Frenzy nodes you can use those points to grab more crit nodes or APS.

I estimate you can get about 100k extra DPS using 4 points (factoring the buffs from Far Shot and Ricochet) - so you'll probably end up wiht 150k extra DPS than Raider.

I'm doing about 1.1m DPS per projectile so 150k extra DPS vs. loss of Raider defenses IMO is not that worthwhile, but I'll have to double-check the numbers when I get back home later today.

Thanks for putting this out, so I tried to run some numbers in PoB, it seems if we go Raider with Frenzies+Onslaught ascendancies nodes will be best for DPS and MS compared to Deadeye with full stacked Tailwind (calculated Ricochet and Far Shot damage as well), unless if we invest into Frenzies in Deadeye but it will be hard to generate those frenzies with Deadeye during bosses. So can you run your numbers again with Raider Frenzies+Onslaught nodes? I know Raider with Veil nodes have good QoL with elemental immunity, but Deadeye will have the same issue anyway and we need to change our flasks.

I think you should still be OK bud. I also put a Scion example in the guide by bvgftr towards the end so you can check how he did Scion (and he did Shaper better than me xD).

Yes I would because I am taking damage infrequently, so the amount of time I am not at full life is minimal thus on average melee damage on full life is giving me a good DPS boost.

Unless you are going Slayer or Ascendant Slayer then Vaal Pact may not be as great as it seems because it takes a little time for your leech to ramp up and once you hit full life, the leech effect is removed, so you have to start again from scratch next time you take damage. Personally I don't really like this, but some people want to have VP for extra safety so I made a separate VP tree.

As you can see from my vids, with my playing style I don't really need VP. I also just use 1 life flask, but I would recommend for fights on HOGM, Elder Guardians, and Elder to take 2 life flasks if you don't have VP.
