ELE LIGHTNING STRIKE - ALL T16s, Shaper, Uber Atziri, HOGM, Chayula, Elder

Hi, thanks a lot for the build having fun with it this season, made a few adjastments(took projectile pierce passive, and wearing goldwyrm/darkray boots) and wearing full MF gear, build works great on t16 maps for me so far.
Have a question: i've found out that in poebuilder switching Multistrike gem for Elemntal focus, or any other dps gem(increase critical damage, increase critical strike, e.t.c.) boosts our projectle dps like 2 times. What is wrong? Is poebuilder just bugged on multistrike with projectile part of our dps and or gem is really not that good for our build? And also i wonder how it works when u hit the target in melee range, it takes damage from melee hit and projectile hit of our skill, or it just takes damage of melee hit?
Morning,

What do you think about using Tombfist with 2 sockets, instead of Thunderfist?

You can get so many things from this gloves if you socket murderous + searching jewel - 70-80 flat life, 3-150+ flat lightning, resists, crit multiplier, plus attack speed and life % from gloves itself, and on top of that you both maim and intimidate on hit. And we are not that tight on sockets it seems.

Aye I agree Tombfist will be better than Thunderfists. I want to try them out when I get back to my computer tomorrow, still on holiday xD.

@Ceryneian : What do you think about using HoT+CoH+Proj Weakness+another gem ?

Hi bud, I don't like relying on HOT for the curse because if you are too far at range then you can have trouble applying the curse. PW is a BIG damage curse so having it on CWDT with arc which has quite a good range and is precise is what I like. If you are trying HOT let me know how it goes...

Any tips on what pantheon to use ?

Hiya, feel free to take whatever you like. I think I took Solaris and Garukhan

Hey guys, I don't know if it has been said already but i'll give it a try.
You should try Ancestral Call instead of Damage on Full Life.
When you just get barely out of melee range it seems to proc and you end up hitting Boss and stuff 3 times ( Your projectiles, ancestral melee and ancestral projectiles)
Would be interested to have some return on that idea because even if tool tip is lower it really feels stronger.

Hi mate, interesting idea, I'll try it out tomorrow. I had thought the Ancestral Melee and Ancestral Projectile cannot hit same target similar to regular LS. I think going to melee and taking much more risk needs to be justified by having very high and consistent DPS. If the DPS is not consistent, or is tricky to get it, would not be that great.

Sorry if this was asked and answered before but there are a lot of pages. Do you still use regular jewels to get a lot of your resistances or do you run abyss jewels now? Obviously with so many uniques w/o resist you have to get them somewhere. But I was just curious. Build is awesome so far!

I'm not OP but can answer this - you can use abyss jewels with resists. For example , abyss jewel can give you 2-100 flat lighting, 30-40 flat life, and on top of that - 20-25 resists (and not even for too much). So abyss jewels can give you damage, life and also cover all missing resists.

Yup, thanks emaster. I will be switching some to Abyss jewels, been away on holiday, stay tuned for gear update this weekend. What I really want to get more of is crit multiplier xD.

Build is not bad, but single damage its not too good though. impossible to have 900 k damage even 500 is not impossible, currently at level 89 i have about 160k. Watch my gear and tell me what is wrong? Yes my chest gems dont have quality yet but this can do so epic difference.

Thanks for checking out the build man. If you have access to PoB you can put your character in and cross-check vs. mine to see why you are off. Just taking a quick look at your character:
- Need % ele damage on gear: your amulet has no ele damage or % ele damage, your rings have no % ele damage (this why I recommend to use Opal base)
- Need light pen: get a Wise Oak if you can
- Need a damage shield/helm: if you can't get Lycosidae try getting Hinekora's Sight amulet and accuracy cluster by Shadow which also gives crit chance - as you really need high accuracy for a crit build. Also try Rat's Nest or Starkonja for damage helm
- Get Adder's Touch, Crackling Speed and Throatseeker, as well as crit multiplier on jewels if you can
- If you want even mroe DPS - try Wake of Destruction or Darkrays instead of Voidwalker boots

Hi bud, yes Multistrike is bugged in the PoB and is not applying to the projectile DPS calc. Multistrike is a very big DPS buff. Yes just takes damage of melee hit, target cannot be hit by both melee hit and projectile, either gets hit by melee hit or by 1 projectile.

Hi, can i spam HoGM easily with this build ? :D

Hi bro, unfortunately you cannot spam it easily unlike dedicated HOGM builds specifically designed for PVP

95% of the exiles are not a problem but there are a few exiles where a lot relies on how well you can position and react, and not all of these exiles spawn all the time.

If you want to spam HOGM on this build you need a plan for:

- CWDT/aegis block guys - you can quickly kill yourself if you are not careful. Good thing is most have low/zero damage and so using scorching ray or another degen skill will easily kill them. The problem is recognizing very fast that you are hitting these guys and to immediately stop and switch to your degen skill. Zami, gubben brothers, etc.

- There is a poison girl using purple tentacle poison arrow - you need to get out of her degen pools very fast as not even my life flask made a dent vs. her degen

- Danziggg girl - LA archer. Not much you can do against her except kill her first. I'm not sure if she is using RT or something, but Ondar's Guile could be worth testing if she gives a lot of trouble

- Dyness - this is the guy with firestorm in my vid - very tanky and does a lot of damage, I believe he has insane regen as well so you would need to use Frost Bomb to help kill him faster

Danzigg and the poison girl are not a problem if you position well with LS to cover the whole wall before triggering the wall as they will die very fast. Good technique is very important: putting totem on left side and then attacking from right side with good spread is good way to approach it.

Unfortunately I did not make this build for full PVP, you would probably need to customize a few things like adding a 6L scorching ray (I was using a 3L) and a frost bomb set up, to farm HOGM easier on this build. But if you want absolute 100% confidence to farm HOGM - there are probably better builds like EA.

Changes I made to run HOGM:
- Unspecc'd from Avatar of Chase to Veil (ele status immunity)
- Put curse immunity on a flask (of Warding)
- Have poison on a flask (of Curing)
- Added a Quartz flask
I got 5 Link broken heart chest, what line in order of gems would you use?

And if i dont have empower and enhance lvl 3, which aura should i go for? for mana sustain sake.

i am running your build in HC and i am enjoying it very much so far (lvl 60 atm)

still cant decide between dagger and claw and havent specced for either one yet

would anyone recommend any changes to this build for HC? i guess soul raker or vitality void dont make sense? what about the circle at void barrier?
what about using enfeeble?

Yo, i made some changes ( that i like ) to this build...i made it 90% to farm maps fast and less boss fights :D
I got drop a "mini headhunter" and socketed it near Acuity...
Saw something about Tombfist, i`ll try that aswell
What you guys thinking ?

I'd suggest to upgrade your dagger, because it has very low base crit (6, and can be 8.5 at least). Then won't hurt to upgrade your amulet to choir of the storm.
I have been running this build with a claw over a dagger. I swapped over because after tinkering around in PoB I found that the claw nodes around the main build area, and with the new abyss jewels, seem to put out better dps for me than a dagger. Has anyone else considered running claws? Or am I missing something profound?

Hi bud, go LS + Multistrike + Ele Focus / Light Pen + Ele Damage with Attacks + Added Lightning, when you get 6L add Damage on Full Life
