Early access games should be getting updates far more regularly than full release...

Especially early access games with technical issues, stability issues etc.

Imo they should have concentrated on PoE2 until -at the very least- it was stable, not crashing and they had addressed the many performance problems.

Hiring a community manager to drop weekly or biweekly blogs, lore drops, dev blogs and generally updating people during the early access patches would have also been a good idea.

They made more money from PoE2 in one year than they made from PoE1, two times the income approx.

They had a massive increase of people watching on streaming platforms & playing PoE2 compared to the peak of PoE1. By any metric PoE2 is far more successful than PoE1 has ever been.

This massive hype wave has been squandered now, some people feel they cannot believe GGG anymore when they set dates for releases.

That is understandable due to the history of PoE2's release cadence.

Truth is they should have concentrated on PoE2 ONLY until these fundamental issues were fixed.

No1 wants them rushing content. People just don`t want to be lied constantly. If you`re facing delay just tell the community. Simple as that. And no, this teaser wasn`t telling community about the delay.

If you think this is a "lie", then you have no clue what EA is. You simply demand they be held to whatever timeline they think they can meet and RUSH CONTENT no matter what.

Maybe they could have communicated earlier. But maybe they could not. Sometimes there are unforseen problems that simply gets in your way a few days before deadline.

Your tantrum will put pressure on the devs, making things worse for everyone in the future for absolutely no reason.

GGG said something like this "we will go to 4 months league cycle, EVEN if it means that we need to sacrifice content that was supposed to be in the next league"

And now some people are mad because 0.4 league is going to last 5months and 17days (dec 12th - may 29th). I personally dont really mind a one month extra wait, if it means that we going to get better update, but GGG shouldnt make promises/stances like that and then not keep their word.

My guess what has happened is that D4 expansion launches in few days and they didnt want to have early may or may 8th release, because of that. Second reason why the delay is that exilecon is november 7-8th if i remember right and they are most likely going to announce 1.0 release date then, which means this 0.5 league is probably going to be the last league before full release.

Other promises that they didnt keep were:
- Druid was supposed to come 0.3, but they didnt get it ready so got pushed 0.4
- Endgame rework was supposed to come 0.4, but they didnt get it ready so 0.5

Official quote from 0.5 timeline

"Towards the end of April we will be announcing our full plans for the 0.5.0 update including all the changes we will be making to the endgame as well as the new league!"

If that`s not a lie for you then this discussion has no point. They made it a lie releasing this teaser like nothing happened. Not us. I`m not even gonna refer to all previous promises that weren`t kept because i really don`t care about most of them as opposed to this one. I`m just gonna point out for the third time in this thread - delay itself is not the problem for me so you can take your tantrum bullshit somewhere else.
