I would say that in this case I understand the delay much less than I accept it.

As a game developer myself, I totally accept that delays happen for a reason — a good reason, most of the time. I also trust that GGG are all hardworking developers. I've seen it through all the years of playing PoE 1.

But in this particular case, I sincerely don't understand the delay, nor the lack of communication around it. Did it happen because this is the biggest update so far? Because of the Diablo 4 expansion release? Some other unexpected situation?

I think that's what frustrates a lot of players — and me in particular, as you perfectly described in your response as well

at the begging of april i destabilized the whole temple with +800% to exp, because got level 100 and the league is probably ending soon... now i find out that i had 2 months of time in which i could create new character and just speed run level 100 with level up mtx thats tracking time taken to level up

I wanted just to ignore poe2db that predicted 0.5.0 on 29th May, that was written there since weeks already. There is something else written there on the left side, it says 1.0 will come 11th of December.

I got it now why GGG has a new communication manager, either internal staff issues (lack of communication with the community with the old team responsable for that), either its mandate is to communicate/relax/hype the community better than it was till now, either just lack of ppl to do that, my guess is all of that (we can see already improvements).

What i know is that this 0.5.0 will be "huge" ("yuuuuge" as one blonde hair guy would say). GGG is telling this, not me.

Good things don`t come without hard work, i know that. Were 5 months enough (i cut the winter holiday)? Can`t wait to see what was baked in GGG`s kitchen.

My question is, 1.0 in December this year?

Kiddings aside, I am unironically super happy about the delay. I played since the launch and I enjoy POE2 less and less lately and stopped playing for couple of weeks, for me the update could come in Sept after the summer break :)

I had high hopes on POE2 but to me it did not live up to the expectations of a NexGen ARPG at all. It feels like a POE 1.5 at best, and in some aspects even like a downgrade....

Towards the end of April we will be announcing our full plans for the 0.5.0
