Watch GGG Live on May 7th PDT

Where is the logo? :P You always add a logo "in case you need it" ^^

wow, looks like a bad league
and they even delayed it like x3 times than usual
they really dont care about the game anymore
dead game

I absolutely cannot understand why the new season starts three weeks after the livestream. It's unprecedented. I can only assume GGG has been slacking off the whole time. I even suspect they only started working after the presentation—they were probably partying before that.

How I feel too. 6 months?? Almost 7. When they promised 4.
I'm happy we got a date but damn, this better be a HUGE update to compensate for the added time wait.
Dear GGG,

First of all, thanks for finally sharing at least some plans.

Second:
1. You said you would stick to a 4-month cycle — but you clearly haven't.
2. You said your release model is now "based on dates" — which only confirms point #1.
3. You said you would release

full plans for the 0.5.0 update including all the changes to the endgame as well as the new league
by the end of April — but you didn't (yet). You just announced the new league.

I love GGG and the game is amazing, but the lack of communication is very frustrating.

---
A funny personal story: when one of the new Last Epoch expansions launched, I took a day off and bought the game to try it. An hour later, the servers went down due to urgent unannounced changes — for the rest of the day. It wasn't communicated beforehand, so my plans were completely ruined.

I've now planned a few days off to play PoE 2 in the first half of May, and a family vacation in June — plans ruined again. Meaning I won't be able to play PoE until the end of June.

With this level of communication, it feels like you're pushing me toward buying Diablo, which is genuinely the last thing I want 😅

---
Looking at other comments here, I can see I'm not alone in this.

When GGG as a company makes a promise, people build plans around it. When those promises are broken, please understand why people feel upset and disappointed.

---
Thanks for the update anyway!

It better be really good, though, for me to jump in after one month into the league.

Not surprising, GGG never follows through with what they say. (4 month release windows) Well this will be almost 6 months. Its like listening to my adult children.......

Hey Yol_Ar,

Great feedback for GGG and you bring up an important part in communication (specifically with customers in delays or issues):

Customers understand delays...they may not care...but they understand. The trick is getting them to care enough to smooth out the bumpy road until product can be delivered in the short term while not damaging the long term relationship.

I know our Lead Communications Manager is brand new (less than a week in) so this feedback falls back on upper management.

Ultimately, when it comes to the announcement: that ship has sailed.
However, if it's me communicating with my customers a potential message would be:

"Hey Everyone,

Unfortunately, 0.5 is going to be slightly delayed. While we need a little more time to cook...just know that this is the biggest expansion that we've ever released. Similar to "The Fall of Oriath" or "Atlas of Worlds". In fact, it's more of a combination of both as we are simultaneously overhauling both campaign and end game.

While you marinate on the potential impact of this huge expansion...please pencil in May 07th for a detailed and in-depth overview of the new and long awaited 0.5 patch."

That's how I'm interpreting the update. (Unless it's the biggest expansion ever for specifically and only POE2. Then all bets are off! LOL).

december 12th = patch 0.4 launch
janjuary 12th = 1 month
february 12th = 2 months
march 12th = 3 months
april 12th = 4 months
may 12th = 5 months
may 29th = 5 months and 17 days

Nice "6 months?? Almost 7." math you have going there :D

Let GGG cook more, its just 5 more weeks until 0.5 release. We hopefully get patchnotes on may 7th, that leaves us with 3 weeks to theorycraft and think what we want to play on league release!
They took one month delay to implement a campaign skip feature. ᕦ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕤ

If they keep (go back to) 4-month cycle after the upcoming patch, they'll still need 5 * 4 month = 20 months to get to 1.0.0. So full release in 2028? That doesn't sound fun. Only half a year ago Jonathan was “fairly confident we won't be out of 2026” (https://www.eurogamer.net/path-of-exile-2-release-date-slips-again).

1.0 could come after 0.5, or after 0.7 or after 0.12
