T17s utter trash design

Somehow I distrust someone claiming they have no problem running hard content when they flat out admit they have problems running T17s for "reason X". I don't think I have ever used a spreadsheet for playing PoE beyond the capabilities of PoB.

They added EZ mode for people who are struggling by adding Scarab of Bisection. Maybe you'll have a better time running half the mods, seeing how you only care about the fragments anyway. :-)

I wouldnt be complaining if I wasn't running them. I've been very disappointed and voicing that since they launched this trash.

ARPG dungeon crawlers are literally this, on purpose, because people love it.

If you dont want to kill tings, collect money, buy better gear to kill harder things, repeat, then wtf are you doing here? Go play smash brothers or something.

Attack/spell block is pretty easy to overcome by just keeping a block chance reduction support somewhere on your account. Unless your using a one tap dots build or a 6 off colour link with no green sockets, overpower stacks up so fast that you barely even notice that the monsters ever had a block chance.

Deal no damage for x seconds is in fact pretty silly though; its like spike traps and door traps in the lab: its not dangerous, its just there to be a mild nuisance with no counterplay.

I had no idea this existed. Will definitely be keeping it around in my stash and running the chance to block attack maps in groups with it swapped in.

Even people who know about it often forget that its there while being irritated with blocking monsters, myself included.

Game changing for blight. I do plenty of damage to kill em even when they have 80% block from map mod effect multiplier, but they live long enough to pile up and create so much lag that it snowballs into misery. This will be awesome and an easy swap for crit multi support.

Not to mention shaper beams everywhere floor degens its fuckin crazy. Again its easy to just make a build that can tank it or delete the screen.it has nothing to do with skill t17z simply feel terrible to play.



......re-read what you just wrote here. And then define what you think "skill" is in this video game.

Because by my reckoning....there are only a few things that determine "skill" in PoE, ALL OF THEM are tested by exactly what you just listed.

1) Creating a build that can handle the content you throw it at
2) Dodging bullet hell mechanics and insta-death scenarios
3) Playing the market and crafting.....which ties into #1

It takes NO skill to copy/paste someone else's build, or sit and play content that is far too easy to challenge yourself.


The only annoying mod that I will absolutely agree with you on is "deal no damage 3 out of every 10 seconds".....that's just dumb. But even that one requires SKILL to overcome, such as having the reflexes or attention to gtfo when you stop leeching or damaging a huge horde of monsters surrounding you. Or.....as you said, out-build it.


Cookie cutter, run of the mill, damage+life buff mods to monsters are dumb and one-note, if that were all the game offered. And btw....everything you mentioned hating about certain t17 mods, you can do with those mods too! Want to make a 100% more life monster boss fight take less time? Make a build with 100 million damage. Want to tackle 100% more monster damage, crit mods, phys as extra elemental? Max resistances, phys taken as elemental conversion, endurance charges, etc.

It's all the SAME design. Everything you claim is trash can be applied to all the things you don't think are trash. In fact, things like shaper beam or volatile cores or drowning orbs are the only truly INTERESTING design choices in terms of map mods. Because they make you actually have to use mechanical skill to deal with if your build can't just sit and tank (which most cannot).
