Locking 6th map device slot behind t17 is the worst thing ever made in this game

So I wanted to try stacked deck farming strategy with 5x cloister and for that I needed the 6th device slot. So I bought a t17 fortress map without really bad mods. The map rares and mobs were easy but the golem boss, nightmare of the unbreakable took like no damage and one-shotted my char with rotating lasers that unpredictably change direction.

But at least allow casuals make some divines, I'd never even try t17 if most of viable strats weren't locked behind 6th map device or t17 maps in general. Did you use an atlas without map mod effect as well as a scarab of bisection and of stability to remove some map mods entirely and grant you additional map portals?
Also, why not just play the strat with 4x cloistering? It scales linearly anyway. You don't magically get way more loot just because of one scarab for that strat. |

" I think you are a little upset and therefore not bein fair on your claims. I mean, 1 - the fortress boss telegragh its attack, including the laser's ones. When it changes directions, it takes time and are predictible. 2- there are builds that claim to be bosses killer starting with few divs. So, no need 8 hrs per day to play them. On the other hand, if everything is achiavable with no effort, the game lost its sense of rewarding, don't you think? 3- So you tried once and just rage post? Would you tried to understand the mods of you map? Some of them can buff bosses. Take it easy, You will make it! Exiles, pffff!

"If you're aware, what do you expect? Assuming the PoB reflects your current setup you simply, under no circumstance whatsoever, don't have any business to be in T17 maps. Let alone red maps - you should stick to yellow maps and get some serious upgrades before ramping up the difficulty. This is not a T17 problem. It is your build. " 1. The boss telegraphed the laser direction change 0,5 sec before performing it, and most of other attacks happened way to fast to react. 2. That's true that if game is too easy it loses the sense of rewarding, however I played this league from day 1 and have around 10 div in my stash now, which I find quite unrewarding. 3. I tried this last league and a few times this league with 2 different characters, without success. Perhaps I chose wrong map mods and that is what made the fight impossible. But anyway, thanks for help! I'll try the map a few more times or just run the strat with 4x cloister scarab instead for 5. |

" With my build being bad I mean that it's not streamer-level-100-mil dps build. The PoB is probably not accurate as its missing some config stats, grafts etc. I'm able to blast through 8 mod corrupted t16 and t16,5 with reasonable modifiers so I assume the build isn't that bad. So yeah, it is t17 problem. I would't even bother doing them if the 6th map device slot wasn't locked behind the completion. |
