pls consider changes to hive - it is frustrating playing a low survival character, who can do the mechanic itself, but dies at the aoe spell which Ailith casts while escaping.

Tbf I'm loving the league, and did not had a problem with farming. That being said, I've been playing slow this league, so I assume the blasters are having problems with farming mostly.
I think the league mechanic es mega rewarding, but everything else kinda isn't (at least from what I've seen). Balancing that out would be nice |

im not convinced by this at all
currently loot feels like playing free to play in a p2w mmo. close to complete waste of time unless you are full juicing most available league mechanics are borderline unprofitable unless you actually full invest into it with both atlas passives and full 5 scarabs some time ago your mentality was random leagues showing up on screen like the breach hand, triggers something in the player about it like knowing what it means, what is the challenge and what is the reward. lately its very hard to be excited about literally anything that im not fully specced into because i know it doesnt even have the potential to give me something cool or exciting lets say i spec into harb + shrines + strongbox which isnt rare. im puttting in full scarabs so at least harb has a reasonable chance to drop fracturing shards. im clearing the map and i see a ritual. complete ignore, cant get enough tribute, cant reroll enough times if its bad, cant get vessels. i see an alva. i can progress by temple by 3 rooms, no chance to double upgrade, no chance for anything specific happening and then waiting for the lootspiral to get my 3 chromas. i see a pile of sulphite. picking it up for good measures but completely useless. getting ambushed by syndicate, trying to find my cheat sheet but no luck, ignore and click on "drop a veiled item" that gets filtered out because of the horrible base. blight in sub-t14 maps sounds like it cannot even be rewarding and post t14 maps its just a waste of time to wait for the conga line its so tiring... at first i was happy for the atlas tree because it looked like it gives additional rewards on top of what we already had but now it just feels like everything from the baseline experience is culled and if i ever want to potentially get something i have to spend 60+ points for it including travel and still everything else just feels pointless edit: different topic but if the CURRENT LEAGUE MECHANIC isnt obviously the most rewarding in the current league then to me its a clear issue. i dont even know how is this debateable, like how is a closed box with 20 skeletons from 2014 potentially more rewarding than me murdering roughly 80 demons from an alternate reality Last edited by Koxomathical#2565 on Nov 7, 2025, 8:32:38 AM

I'm also out. League looked promising, but turned out its not. Those wall breaches are annoying and boring as hell (no one really wants to run against walls half of the map). And if you do them, just like the other breach things, they drop nothing. I got better drops on white tier maps from Blight encounters as i got from those T16 breach maps encounters. I mean wtf? One or two small currency items i dont pick up anyways? Really? Wombgifts are dropping hardly anymore in red maps... Since 3 days i'm waiting for a single ancient wombgift drop. Lol?
It's nice to see that some people have fun this league, because they got lucky drops. Yeah nice to see those 20 div drops or Mageblood drops from the tree. Meanwhile just guess what 90% of the rest gets? Spoiler: Random low level currency and uniques no one wants (or can just buy for 1 chaos). Rare item creation is nice indeed, yeah, but u cant sell them and make currency, because everyone can create them now easy. Which is ok, because u dont need to buy them for a lot of currency. But therefore also no currency production. I wanted to do more ancient wombgifts for uniques, but cant, because i dont get them anymore. Why ever. I had to switch from one league starter to another league starter in hope for more damage and better defence (but far away from buying awakened spell cascade (starting at 16 divs)). First one could do hive 24 waves in red maps, but as soon as i have to run out of the hive, to search for this ONE way to get out, i lost 3 hive encounters in a row, because everytime 2-3 rare mobs are put right in front of me out of nowhere, perma stunning/instant killing me, while taking damage the whole time from this stupid destructive wave. Seems 3k life and 4k ES was not enough for league starter... Wasting my time doing this hive and clearing 24 waves for what? For no loot. Nice idea, guys, nice idea indeed. Now guess why i dont do hives anymore? The worst thing about POE is leaguestarting a char, that you dont really want to play, just to get currency to get to the point u finally can play those builds u WANT to play. Because u need certain items or uniques as build enabler. But after one week now, where i played a lot everyday, i'm just not able to get to this point. As a carrion golem enjoyer i wanted to play golems again, because last season was amazing for those golems, especially with The Dark Monarch helmet. But someone was also amazingly clever and thought it would be a nice idea to hide this helmet now behind Uber boss fight. Very clever. There are only just a lot of different minion variations on this helmet. So yeah very, very, very clever. And very expensive. Carrion Golem builds need a loot of items/jewels anyways, some primordial jewels go for 2 divs, and u need more than one, so its expensive. Not only got "Liege of the Primordial" nerved, also the loss of merc is a heavy impact on golem damage. Which is ok, i still wanted to play this build. But i cant. Because no currency. I still need to improve my league starters, which costs a lot of currency, which again, doesnt drop. I have to improve them (and waste currency) and also gather a lot of divs for those builds i wanted to play. But this league is strange. Somehow it feels like league mechanics are not really worth anymore, except u juice your maps to the end for ur mirror tier build. I thought maybe i should try playing a DOT build with this foulborn unique Rathpit globe, which costs only a few chaos. Turns out they now cost 30 divs... Next build idea dead... Maybe i could create my own Rathpit from the tree? Or maybe not, because ancient wombgifts dont drop anymore for me. Why ever. Even buying them and gambling for shields...lets be honest, ofc you will get those uniques no one wants. And then u even have less currency... I play POE since 2017, do my 40/40 challenge every league, got Mageblood, but this league? I just like to quit. The tree is nice, or could be. Those 1 chaos uniques he drops i could also buy from the market. Wall breaches are just annoying. This league feels heavyly unrewarding. There is no goal. Merc league u could hunt for those lv 84 mercs. But Breach is an already known mechanic, the 3 new Uber bosses are the same like last season, just harder, most of the foulborn mods on uniques are boring filler mods offered for 1 alchemy which no one really wants or needs or asked for. A bad unique no one ever uses will still be a bad unique, even with a bad foulborn mod on it. Some mods are decent, but not build enabling, and you already have far better options to wear. The good foulborn mods? They are nice, but seldom and very hard to get...aaaaaand expensive in trade. Sadly those mods are predefined for which other mod they can spawn and can not be randomly chosen by destiny or coincidence, which would make it more interesting. For example: Malachais Loop. Foulborn Mod: "+4% chance to Suppress Spell Damage per Power Charge" in exchange for "12-16% increased Spell Damage per Power Charge". Nice idea, bad execution (for my taste). Stacking Power Charges is for damage and not giving up your damage. Again: in theory its ok, but lets be honest: no one will use this for Spell Suppression. Malachais Loop has this one mod no one wants or needs: "Lose all Power Charges on reaching Maximum Power Charges". Am i really the only one who thinks you missed THE opportunity here? You could have easyly get rid of this mod. Its a league. Its limited time anyways. Its supposed to be fun. So why do u create a foulborn mod, which is good, and get rid of another mod that was good? To make Malachais Loop work u have to sacrifice ur boot slot and your amulet anyways, or u perma losing your charges. Your task should be to make items better/desireable, not just different. Changing one good mod for another is not good, changing one good for a bad one would be awesome. Then i can create builds around in my head and be hyped. Seeing Malachais Loop per coincidence on trade: First second: NICE. Next second: No. Thanks. Boring. Missed opportunity. BTW: 1% of the players are using Malachais Loop, according to poe.ninja. I doubt there will be more this season. Atm i'm desperately searching for the reason why i should not quit. Even if we are only one week into this season. But i dont want to see orbs of augmentation or transmutation anymore as my "lucky" drops from breaches as the only reward...and i dont want to play months to start playing the builds i want to play. |

If you make Abyss Spires so that they will force spawn all the pits before they die so that you aren't effectively losing loot by instantly killing it, Abyss will actually be in a fantastic spot. This has been a problem for ages now outside of the Hoards scarab (which is now gone) and I really think this mechanic either needs this change, or a full rework.

I don't see load times getting fixed anywhere on that to do list.
Is GGG just pushing that off to 3.28 as well? |
