Unlocking the Bloodline Ascendancies is problematic for people that just want to build around them.
|
So in allot of cases, when people want to beat an endgame boss, they typically want to have their character pushed to it's limit (or close to it), but if your build requires a bloodline node to function properly - you will now need to play a completely different build (In allot of cases) to beat the endgame boss - and then respec into the intended build AFTER beating the boss... That just seems incredibly clunky, awkward and unfun to me.
Allot of people will spend most of their time on a character, without even being able to play the intended build they wanted to play. I am predicting that we will be seeing allot of people complaining about this problem in the coming weeks - who did not foresee this being an issue. I strongly suggest making an alternate way of obtaining these ascendancies, or just changing the method entirely. Last bumped on Oct 29, 2025, 8:42:22 PM

its not ubers, a decent build with week 1 or 2 gear can beat most of these bosses (some may be more of a skill check/build specific, like sanctum). But you can also just buy a boss carry.

" Even just going multiple days playing a fill-in build, will be a huge turn off for allot of people. And some bosses being more build specific makes the problem worse. And can't buy boss carries in SSF. Time will tell how people feel about it, but I would like to be incorrect. Last edited by Z_Colo#4343 on Oct 29, 2025, 1:14:31 AM

tho i do agree that most of the content would be largely solo able as they do not require uber versions.
its still a huge hassle. even for the sake of just trying, it simply is a lot of work. i foresee many players being lazy and being content relying on carry services. and like op said. pinnacle bosses should be a benchmark to challenge player builds. if they can take down a pinnacle boss, why would they need the new ascendancy options. also the new ascendancy options arent too enticing to begin with. " I mean, if you don’t like to grind, maybe SSF just isn’t your thing? Windows 11, 9950X3D, RTX 4090, 96GB DDR5, 14,100 MB/s SSD, 15,360x2160p @240Hz Ultra 4K Gaming & Workspace Powerhouse

It is just like an item unlocking a build. You might not get it the first days so you make a league starter that can transition into the build you want to end up with. Or at the very minimum a character that can farm the currency needed to reroll. Having some bloodlines be a challenge to get is not problematic at all. It is not like it is as hard to get as an imposible escape jewel perfect for your build, a good legion jewel or forbidden flesh/flame jewels. It is easier than getting t0 uniques too.

" This. The Bloodline ascendancies are no different from having build-enabling uniques drop from pinnacle bosses, except that the bosses which grant these ascendancies are far easier than pinnacle bosses. Even finding the ultra rare bosses like Farrul are easier for SSF players than finding the gear you need to get a Voidforge from Uber Uber Elder, and if you aren't playing in SSF then just go buy the completion (or the item used to access the boss) the way you'd just go buy the Voidforge. As for "players will complain..." LOL. LMAO, even. People complain every single league, and nothing GGG does will make this one any different. The game simply cannot be easy enough for some people, and those people are always going to be the loudest because they're sitting around whining on a website instead of playing the game. I wouldn't worry about those people, because GGG certainly doesn't. |

How rare is Farrul and Aul? Like you get to see them once per league or every other one?

Farrul is rare AF. like 'doing beasts for entire Phrecia league (because idols simply had Einhar chance as a filler) and I havent found a single one' rare
maybe for bestiary farmers it might be more common, these arent that expensive in trade after all Aul is far more common but if you roll bad mods or are not familiar with the fight youll get brutalized. Aul is a mechanical fight and does not tolerate mistakes beyond 300 depth (AVOID at all costs rolls with increased AOE) |

If its not ubers then its easy for someone who has pushed themself to the basic endgame.
Won't say the fights are cake-walks all of them but if you practice the basic versions are pretty achievable on most builds. Then add in the fact you KNOW you're going to fight this boss, you can prepare yourself ahead of time, get better defenses against that boss too and shift them back to something else later.
