GGG refuse to Add WASD to POE1

But I'm very wary that "new models" that come from porting skins to PoE 2 does ANYTHING to address that rigging. BECAUSE of the layers and layers of code that it must play with and hold together. BECAUSE of the reasoning they already gave for splitting PoE 2 off from PoE 1....after 5+ years of developing it as the SAME GAME. They put all that time into it, and only after 2019 - 2024 did they make the announcement that it wouldn't be possible. To claim that all of that previous work can suddenly be "fixed" thanks to mtx porting AWAY from PoE 1.....makes no sense. Even if its coming from Mark Starting anew....with PoE 2 |   |

They've said it plainly now, even talked about it in this interview. What's changed between now and when they first said it wasn't possible, is that they were able to conclude it was. | The new Rigs and Models are only needed for PoE2 exclusive movement functionality (walking backwards, sidewards, casting while moving and so on). We have Gamepad Support in PoE1 for many years now and it works perfectly fine, all people want is to assume direct control of the character with WASD as if WASD was the analog stick of the gamepad, just like its currently implemented. No need to make any crazy other adjustments, just map the X and Y axis to WASD. I played on console for some years in between (because of PC issues) and can confirm that the movement of the character with analog stick is absolutely fine, there are zero animation issues or otherwise. Also why would there, why would there any animation issues if the character moves in a direction keys instead of following the mouse into that very same direction? I just for fun mapped the gamepad to my keyboard to see how it would play out and can confidently say that WASD feels nice -as it is right now- in PoE1 ;) Kind Regards |   |
