GGG refuse to Add WASD to POE1

| They dont "refuse" they already said they wanted to do it but it would be really hard to implement and so they didnt. They said maybe in the future but it's not sure at all. SSF player |   |

| Its going to end up like last epoch wasd if they rush it. | maybe they're still thinking about removing joystick support from poe? poe2 already is a complete joystick game, poe1 could become a keyboard/mouse game again. this would remove the fomo feeling playing with either input system in both games. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! | |
| One of the big reasons they made PoE2 in the first place was because of their character models and animation system in 1 being very limiting. One of those limits is very poor at best wasd support. They've said that when PoE2 is fully released (in this context, including 100% of MTX being ported to both fan trees) then they plan to backport the new character models and implement wasd.  |   | 
| It just isn't as simple as "a few lines of code" to implement a feature like this.  There's a REASON they could not simply add movement to each melee strike skill in PoE 1. There's a REASON they could not just create a dodge roll. There's a REASON it took so long to do the non-PC versions of the game and their various persistent issues. It was never about "refusal" to do it...the game was built on a foundation WITHOUT it and can't support it. Implementing it in a janky way would garner them far more backlash than praise. And they aren't about to rebuild the core systems of the game.....just for the small crowd that suddenly want WASD after the game has been working perfectly fine for over a decade without it. Those of you who think its a simple task: watch a video on building an autonomous robot. Or robotic limbs. Things you THINK are simple like taking a single step forward actually involve numerous different things working together and if they aren't BUILT to work together.....it just doesn't happen.
