0.3 looks very promising!

Absolute giga patch based on the reveal alone. We're so back, baby!

I am a big PoE 2 hater and haven't touched the game much at all since launch but that reveal looked really good.

Just the support gem changes alone will help build diversity alot. I'm fine with not having a new class yet, all things considered.
The biggest W for me is the change to trade. It should have happened sooner, but I'll take it.
Other than that, this reveal has certainly peaked my interest....after being completely burned out on POE.

My main concern still remains, sadly. It seems that they are really insistent on turning POE 2 into POE 1. Normally, not a deal breaker, because as they say "don't fix what ain't broken", but after all their promotion and boasting how different POE 2 will be......well it kind of leaves a bad aftertaste. Also makes the whole "it's so different we have to make it a separate game" line completely pointless. POE 2 should have remained what they initially promised: a new campaign, 6 new classes and a shared endgame on an upgraded POE 1 engine.
But, I guess I'm nitpicking at this point.
The changes are good, but I there's this feeling that whispers to me "not enough".

Now imagine if GGG had doled out some of that content over the last eight months, instead of trying to make an "event" out of it. =9[.]9=

Right there with you, brother Exile.

Just from what we saw about PoE 2 before 2023, I would estimate that GGG was a LOT closer to a finished product before they decided to make it PoE Deuce, instead. Had it been released as originally presented, we'd all be playing the same game. Instead, there are two, not-so-friendly camps of players, each concerned for the status of their preferred game ='[.]'=

I'm glad to see that some of the systems from PoE 1, which have proven to work, are being carried over. However, I'm concerned about the gameplay. Based on the demo, there's a lot of screen nuking and visual clutter, which is honestly disappointing. I had really hoped PoE 2 would establish a healthier foundation for a solid co-op multiplayer experience.

While there are many great changes, this particular aspect brings my excitement down.

Also, adding currency tiers feels unnecessary. There were better ways to deal with crafted tier ranges and the currency sink without contributing to inventory clutter.

I'm also a bit conflicted about chaos damage being turned into a purple element instead of remaining its own distinct type.

Overall, the changes and improvements look promising, but these are my initial concerns. We'll see how it all plays out in the actual game.
