Path of Exile 2: Content Update Timeline

"
"
Now that Path of Exile 1 has had its league, it’s time to talk about our plans for when the next Path of Exile 2 Content Update

Now that developers just thrown 3.26 patch for poe1 players with worst quality, with no major bugfixes and patches, it's time to move on to other plans and left poe1 players with no kept promises

So, let's summarize:

1. We haven't fixes and patches for 3.26 in POE1 for more than months even if they were promised (like fixing petals).

2. 0.3 in POE2 is late August (so, it means that 3.27 will be in late October)

3. 0.4 for POE2 will be released in December and players again will see how developers will go on vacations and holidays with no fixes and patches for their broken game as it was in 0.1

4. POE2 release was planned for 2025 but it will not happen this year

Well, I don't know what else I could say.

P.S. Are you won against 'DDoS' or we could expect another league with rollback and disconnections?

the reason why poe2 is at this state is cause you lot won't stop whining about poe1 in every opportunity presented...

The reason why poe2 is at this state because developers don't care about providing a product with good quality anymore
Hopefully someone reads the forum. Because I am not excited for the new league at all based on previous experience. As a new player to this franchise I wrote a feedback post about it. I really hope things are different this time around. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3812139

That's great and all, but when do we get the rest of the story for the game, so we don't have to repeat the first 3 acts like idiots...

With official release of the game.

Leagues are a fresh economy for you to experience the new content update in, but they also have exclusive content that is only available in the league.

Stop making content league-exclusive. There is no reason to not implement it together in Standard. You can still adjust it however you see fit at the 'end' of the league. I don't care about a new economy. Let all players experience the new stuff at the same time, regardless of realm.

That's honestly a terrible idea for the game's health. League mechanics need proper testing with fresh economies - throwing half-baked content into Standard where people have mirror-tier gear and legacy items would be a complete disaster.
The whole point of leagues is to test new systems without breaking the permanent economy. Standard players aren't being excluded, they're being protected from buggy league mechanics that haven't been properly balanced yet. You'll get the polished version eventually, just be patient.
If you want to experience new content immediately, play the league. That's literally what it's for.

Can you please share these announcements on social media besides Twitter?

You can get info from YouTube content creators, or this official POE website. You could put your big boy pants on and just create an X account to follow on there as well. What’s the issue?

Again; Grok is calling itself [Removed by Support] and I'm not interested in using a website with a dedicated AI that's calling itself that and repeating views that align with what you'd expect for an AI calling itself [Removed by Support].

This is a non-sequitur. Allowing the content to exist in both Standard and the F R E S H does nothing to hinder testing. If anything, it provides more data to gauge content, not less.

Nothing is going to 'break' by allowing the tests to run in each realm-type concurrently.

This is gas-lighting.

We don't need your 'protection'. In fact, it would be more fun to test it with my current characters. Those that want to reset everything they've done can do so in the new league.

Nah. Implement them in both at the same time.

Nah. Implement them in both at the same time.

More data doesn't automatically mean better data when half of it comes from an environment with completely different power levels and economic conditions. Testing a mechanic that drops currency when Standard players are sitting on thousands of divines versus league players scraping together alchs is going to give you wildly skewed feedback.
And calling it "gas-lighting" is a bit dramatic, don't you think? It's just basic game design - you test in controlled environments first. Standard isn't some neglected stepchild, it's the stable version where your progress is safe from the inevitable league mechanic nerfs and reworks.
If you really want to test with your mirror-tier gear, nothing's stopping you from copying a character over when the league goes core. But asking for simultaneous implementation is basically asking GGG to balance around two completely different player power levels at once.

You're operating under the flawed assumption that data it only useful when applicable for a new realm and, in doing so, have made my argument for me: Standard's data is for Standard. Which data will be more useful for Standard?

No. Your attempt to downplay this only damages your credibility.
