Update on Server Issues, Compromised Accounts and Visual Flickering

It's YOUR problem, ggg. You don't listen properly community and are focusing on pleasure on yt/twitch folks, like ziz and ziggy. There were a lot of alarm bells signaling how bad things were

Straight up ditched POE1 as soon as it launched, they went back to save POE2 so fast. We will never see any loot buffs for mercs this league or any other changes that are good.
Someone posted on another forum that some of the problem could be an ongoing tiff between two internet ISPs. I won't name them in case that breaks a rule.

As congestion hits networks or their interconnects because of legitimate traffic volumes exceeding capacity or DDoS attacks, this can definitely cause drops outside of the datacenters.

Outside of either cloud DDoS solutions or datacenter edge, have you looked at which ISPs are being used at the datacenters, and tried IPing in isolated blocks so they can not be advertised to these congested networks?

Yes, it's a lot of work, but this has been going on for over a year. Until you have done it, you haven't done everything in your power to resolve this.

Visual Flickering
We're aware that gameplay elements and the game's UI will start to flicker in and out when gameplay gets a bit hectic. The engine team is urgently looking into this and we're hoping to have an update on this issue next week.

Wait this is something that can be fixed? It's... always done this. What exactly do you mean? Harby is my go to strat and any time you have 2+ of them on the screen the entire game begins to break down and flickers like crazy. Like, ever since I figured out the game and how to play it properly, I have always pushed it to the point where the graphics shit the bed.

If you actually fix this, or even just improve it, I'll be blown away.
Any words on the mac client?
I Paused to game prox a week ago and tried again today, seems alot more stable now than before, gg.

Would the compromised accounts have been safe if we had proper 2FA?

Not necessarily, a majority of cyberattacks nowadays rely on stealing the whole authentication token instead and there's no perfect defense for that. You can check the user's location or useragent, but this can be spoofed quite easily.
Why do these DDoS attacks affect your persistence layer so much? It's weird, it's like the DDoS only affects things that should be unavailable to outside traffic. Like the client can talk just fine to the play servers, get drops and have them in inventory but can't persist these things and eventually the layers get out of sync so badly that things crash and players get kicked simultaneously.

Almost like that, but what do I know? I'm sure the DDoS are affecting the persistence layer...somehow.
What about the BS damage? Its the same every league, random 1 shots with absolutely no counter play.
