Same for me have wait for validating to end before game will start. please fix this

Just to add, I seen someone else say they were connecting to the Canada server, I am trying to as well, not sure if others who've posted in this thread are also having this issue. GGG could you maybe look into the Canada (East) server to see if there is some issue validating patch updates for client? This is a very frustrating bug it takes forever to validate this game on steam and it only temporarily fixes the issue for one game session and comes back after the game closes or login screen.
